		<description>If QuickTime X does not launch then that command line trick doesn&#039;t do anything. The only thing it does is to autoplay the movie/video when QuickTime is launched. If it&#039;s not launched, then obviously it cannot play the movie :)

You should probably try to look into assigning QuickTime X to play your movies, maybe it&#039;s another player you have defined?
