TechPatio Reaches 1000 Tweets on Twitter & 200 RSS Subscribers

Who would have thought it could take me around 6 months to reach a 1000 tweets on Twitter? That comes down to just about 5 tweets per day. Well, I’m not sure my @TechPatio account has been active for exactly 6 months, but it’s plus/minus a few months at the most, so no big deal.

The big deal, however, is that I finally managed to kick it all the way up to one thousand (1,000 !!!) tweets 😀

Even better, Im currently at over 3,300 followers too. That’s amazing. I would never have thought that would happen. I can’t take all the credit myself though, TweetAdder played an important part in increasing my targeted Twitter followers from 500 followers just 6 weeks ago, to over 3,300 followers today (TwitterCounter keeps track).

Anyway, if you’re not already following me on Twitter, I would love for you to do so. Just click here to find me on Twitter and do your thing. Also, if you’re already following me but I’m not following you back, please leave a comment below or @reply me on Twitter. I’ll be happy to follow you back. The problem is, I get so many “… is now following you on Twitter”-mails, that I don’t read them anymore, so that’s why I haven’t followed you back (yet).

On a side note, Twitter is now also my #1 source for “referral” traffic. Google is of course still the overall #1 source of traffic (which is an “organic” source), but looking at “referrals”, Twitter is leading.

Lastly I would like to remind you of subscribing to the TechPatio RSS feed. I reached 200 RSS subscribers last week and I’ll be happy to increase it even more – can’t do it without you 🙂  So click here to subscribe now, it’s free and you can even do it via e-mail as well.

Thank you for reading TechPatio.com!!

  2. Hey Klaus congrats on reaching the 1k milestone that’s awesome man, I have been crap at Twitter lately. I love business though and I am in season for a few short months which limits my online time in a massive way, I hate that part.

    • Thanks John. Yeah if you have season for your business, NOW is the time to take care of it and stop worrying about Twitter and all the other non-business online thingies!

  3. Awesome stats! I’d rather see/hear your RSS Subscribers then having lots of Twitter followers though (most of them are just spammy anyway)

All the best for the future

    • My RSS subscribers was listed in the post as well, didn’t you notice? 😀

Regarding spammy Twitter followers – it’s impossible to steer completely cleer of those, but I do “spring cleaning” every other week, using mostly The Twit Cleaner. It will analyze the once I follow (which is most of my followers) and if deemed “spammy” or “dodgy” or any other way I don’t really care about, I unfollow. If they are, indeed, spammy twitter accounts, they’ll unfollow me too (maybe even automatically).

I forgot to mention this in my post (will update it shortly), but Twitter is actually my number #1 for ‘referral’ traffic now. Google is of course still number one, but as ‘organic’. So some of my followers are not only about spam 😀

  4. Congrats, Klaus. This post was also instructive to me on how powerful Twitter can me. I’ve been using it, but without much of a plan other than to talk about tech and get my posts out there. One of these days I’ve got to follow your lead, and really take advantage of it.

    • Thanks Evan. As I wrote somewhere, Twitter is what you make of it, so if you want to take more advantage of it and promote, say, your blog, then that’s what you gotta do 🙂
