Back in November, I was accepted as part of a VPS beta test program with Danish/Swedish hosting provider, Surftown. I moved TechPatio.com to the VPS server and now the beta test has been concluded. I have recently ordered one of the final VPS server solutions for TechPatio and so I will be moving the site over to that new server sometime this weekend.
Hopefully you won’t notice anything – but in case something goes wrong, now you know why…

Hope they’re giving you a great deal! At least you have experience with moving since you’ve done it once. Doesn’t sound like fun though – good luck!

Nice move. I’m still on a shared account as I don’t find a need yet to move to a VPS
Perhaps when I’ve got 5000 visitors a day and things started to slow down…

Okay, site has been moved – hopefully everything works
Yes, it worked alright! I have a question, though. I am using a Flagfox plugin in my MF browser and the flag of the country were your server is located doesn’t show. Is it really the case in a VPS? Sorry for the question, I am not a techie. Thank you.

Hi EdZee. I don’t know, sorry
Maybe my new IP just hasn’t been “indexed” yet in wherever Flagfox gets it’s data from?
