Thanks BloggerLuv, That Was Awesome!

I gotta admit, I haven’t been as active on the BloggerLuv community as I had hoped for. Sorry! But I just had to write this post to give some link love to BloggerLuv and the man behind it – John Sullivan, who blogs at PotPolitics.com (latest post: People want to connect so why donโ€™t they?).

The reason I’m doing this post is because I was in need for a few “likes” on my TechPatio Facebook page. You need 25 “likes” before you can get a Facebook username for your page, like www.facebook.com/techpatio – and my “likes” was not looking to increase too much anytime soon and I really wanted to get that username secured so I didn’t had to worry about it anymore. I created a thread on the BloggerLuv community forum, asking for a few likes so I could pass 25 and get my username. Now, a day later, I have 60 “likes” (or “Fans”, as it used to be called). Amazing!

So that’s pretty much why I felt the need to go public and give my thanks to the BloggerLuv community and John Sullican for creating BloggerLuv in the first place.

If you’re a blogger, you should check it out – it’s exactly what the name implies: BloggerLuv.com.

  2. Klaus, that’s really awesome. The community came out in full force. Not only did I see your request at BloggerLuv, I also got a recommendation from Karen @BlazingMinds just as I was about to login to Facebook and give you the like. Now that’s what I’m talking about!!

BloggerLuv is a great community and I’m proud to be a part of it. Thanks for spreading the news.
    Cheers!

  5. Awesome indeed. Looks like this is one community to get serious about. I’ve usually joined a lot of communities of this kind in the past and then forgotten all about it thereafter. I think I need to search my groups db to see if I’ve also opened an account with Bloggerluv (if not, I certainly will create one). Your story here of the awesome support just inspired me to renew my efforts at being active again in the blogging community.

    • Hi James,

I know what you mean about joining a lot of communities and then forgetting about them shortly after. But not all communities might apply to everybody, so joining a lot is the only way of finding out which ones we like ๐Ÿ™‚ Be sure to give BloggerLuv a chance, if you haven’t already.

Thanks so much this post made my day it was the 4th so I had to wait to the end of the day to again soak it in and send the post around.
As far as the site. I was really lost and frustrated and I know you know how potpolitics was maybe I just needed to get that all out of my system.
This site covers many of my own needs as I needed something positive in my life now I feel like I work on behalf of the site and bloggers, it has been an amazing experience so far and the site is really just getting started.
I will be moving it to it’s own server mid month and adding some LIVE features I hope it becomes the spot for bloggers around the world and they ALL feel the LUV ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks so much

    • Hi John. Thanks for your comment and thanks for putting all that time into BloggerLuv!

It sounds like a very good idea to move BloggerLuv to its own server, because, to be honest, I think the slow speed currently at BloggerLuv might scare a few away, because sometimes it can take seconds to open up a page and that makes for a very unpleasant browsing experience ๐Ÿ™‚

      Good luck with it!

  8. It’s great practice as a blogger that you are appreciating and also offering something in return. Expert blogger’s often give these tips to newbies.

    • Hi,

Nah, BloggerLuv is for bloggers – you don’t have to blog about blogging ๐Ÿ™‚

PS. Please use a REAL NAME when commenting, if you want to keep a URL to your site.

    • Hi Melina and thanks for visiting ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes there’s no question that John had a great idea and ever since I began reading PotPolitics he’s been all “come on, leave a comment and get som link juice”-like, so I’m not surprised that he would be the one to start such a BloggerLuv community. Let’s hope that he can keep it going and growing!
