April 2010: Blog Summary & Income Report

This is going to be a short income report, as I don’t have much time to “evaluate” on the previous month, at this time. So I’m just going to give you the numbers and a little comment below the table. I hope all of you had a great April and if you’re blogger/webmaster, that you made a good income and visitor stats were acceptable too – don’t forget to leave a comment below and feel free to include a link to any income report/summary you might have made yourself.

Conclusion: April ’10

April was a quiet month for me as I didn’t have too much time for blogging and networking with other bloggers including commenting on their blogs – that also shows in the amount of comments I’ve received on TechPatio in April, just 135 comments (which does not include my own comments). Why don’t you leave a comment below, so I have a chance of getting more comments in May? 😀 Remember that links are “do follow”, but only if you use a “human name” when commenting – and links with the CommentLuv plugin are “do follow” too. I do reserve the right, however, to remove “do follow” for links pointing to sites that doesn’t yet have a Google Pagerank, as I don’t want to risk linking to sites that Google might have blacklisted.

Other than that, I’m satisfied with the visitor statistics – more visits, and better visits, than March. While I didn’t exactly make a killing, earning just $56, it was still plenty to cover expenses for hosting. In fact, what I earned from MyLikes was just about enough to cover hosting expenses.

  4. Nice stats you’ve got this month, I can see that sponsored tweets seem to be a bit of a non earner for you at the moment, may it’s MyLikes taking over 😉

    • Thanks, Karen! Yup, Sponsored Tweets hasn’t really “kicked in” yet for me, so I’m just letting it sit and taking the offers that sometimes come my way. MyLikes is a far better option for me, at this time.

And thanks for the retweet also 🙂

    • Hi Greg. Yeah I like ReviewMe. The jobs there are usually quite easy, but there’s a bit too many “online casino reviews” for my taste, as I don’t want to write those.

  6. That traffic is looking great – especially the fact that it’s growing every month! After I finally get a payout on Sponsored Tweets I’ll come back here and grab that MyLikes link.

    • I was actually surprised to see an increase in last month, over March, because of my low activity. But I’m sure May will be lower than April 🙂

Sounds good you’ll be using my MyLikes link later on, I’ll look forward to that 😀

      • Yes, until now, I have just gotten 2 offers from Ebuzzing. So, I am trying other ways to earn more cash by blogging.
        Good luck!

        • I’ve been making a little money with Sponsored Reviews too. I think most bloggers have more luck with them than I do, but it’s because I have to change my frontpage layout a bit whenever I post one of their reviews, as it requires a certain amount of words on the frontpage for 24 hours, which my usual design doesn’t provide. You can check it out though.

  12. Hi Klaus,

Well done on actually having some persistence and keeping your blog going.

You’ve got some nice stats and seem to have a lot of different revenue generating ideas. I’m sure it will all come together, you just need to keep going.

Best of luck in the future.

  15. You and Karen do well from Ebuzzing overall, which doesn’t seem to have very many opps for me in the U.S. for some reason. That and GoViral seems to be more Europe oriented. Congrats on the earnings anything that covers your monthly hosting fee’s is cool for me.

  19. Very nice thanks for sharing your earnings from your blogging. People may think that is not a lot but what they do not know is that it is very hard to even earn one penny through blogging especially these days. I suggest that you show your earning a few months from now and keep us updated on how much work you are putting in your blog. Interesting information and great stuff for people to see what hard work can do.

  20. The growth in terms of number of visits is very good. As you said, creating “posts that people were searching for” is the key to this huge jump. Thanks for that tip. I think I got to try making more of those, too.
