Google Street View – More Funny Pictures (Part 1 of 2)

My post from a month ago, Funny Pictures: Google Street View Launched in Denmark, keeps topping the “popular posts”-chart here on the blog. I guess people like to look at funny Google Street View pictures, and that’s understandable, because there are some very funny and whacky moments out there 🙂

I’ve been gathering some more funny street view pictures over time and here they are, for your enjoyment:

Guy entering an Adult Book Store. A classic Google Street View funny picture.
So, if Google Street View car can drive too fast... where does that leave the rest of us?
He's a dude with a valid reason if he scores bad in an IQ test.
... and here's a guy who certainly didn't score high in his IQ test!
"Mine's bigger than yours" - or maybe they just like the pavement?
WTF?! That better be a toy gun!!
Sorry guys, it's a still picture, not a movie. Nothing more is gonna happen here!
I have a feeling this guy had more than just one pint of lager...?
"DVD Cabins. Simply the BEST" - I don't wanna know more!!
I bet he's thinking, "I'm never gonna drink again!"
We all know that you gotta go when you gotta go!

Bike crash. Auch!

    • It’s a bit ironic that the one with the helmet doesn’t wear a “safety” west and the one that does, doesn’t have a helmet on. If the roles were switched the guy at the road would have his head safe at least. And maybe they would have seen eachother and could have prevented the crash.

Well, still funny to watch – as long as nobody got hurt 🙂

  5. I can’t help but chuckle at the google car’s speed violating the speed limit and showing the evidence (without meaning to) for the whole world to see.

    • I guess there’s a slight chance that the speed is actually for the car in front/behind of Google, but that’s not as fun as indicating it’s a Google speeding taking place 🙂

  6. Some of these are so odd – I wonder if they’re for real. In my experience, most street view pictures are not as clear as those.

    • Nah, I think they’re real. The Google Street View pictures I’ve been looking into a lot recently, is the ones from Denmark, and they seem rather good quality.

  7. Hahaha.. It’s really funny. But, Google may have violated the privacy of the people on the street. 😀

There sees to be a problem with my email when I try to post comments. I do not quite get it. Please help me.

I was merely reflecting on how Google is such a vast data mining entity, and that by adding pictures, gps coordinates, Google Earth and the like they can do quite a good job of giving an impression of just how a specific place looks. Great for all internet friends from other parts of the world you’ll never be able to visit in person….

Somehow I think stalkers have never had things quite this good…..

  27. I think you should post these pictures on the youtube by making a newer video in which you can use these as a running flash…joining all these as a movie will be much better choice than using the still pictures…If you don’t think you have time for this, then I can use these on my Denver Website Designs blog…:)

If the roles have been switched the guy at the road would have his head risk-free at least. And perhaps they would have noticed eachother and could have prevented the crash.

  34. So is there a spotter riding around in the street view car and pointing the camera, or just a driver cruising around and having the camera just do its thing? Might answer my question on the other post about why the camera guy didn’t see the naked man while taking the picture.

    • There’s a camera on top of the car that shoots in several angles – you can see one of the cars on the link below:

      • Thanks Klaus,

Yes, I just saw that in another post with some other funny pics taken by the street car. I never really thought about it, but that would be an overwhelming amount of work if someone was manually taking the pictures 🙂
