Improving the performance of computing with GPU accelerated storage servers

Summary: A GPU, graphic processing unit, adds a power-up to servers needing a boost. Cost-effective and easily addable, a server with GPU improves server system efficiency, performance, and security capabilities.

GPU accelerated servers are particularly excellent for servers used in critical, high-intense computer processing environments, such as engineering and visualization purposes. Storage servers with enhanced GPU capacity will benefit from better performance, more reliable security and overall better features. GPUs enhance the overall performance for servers used in high performance capacity industries – ensuring complex tasks are properly executed. Medical industry, engineering, virtualization, and the financial industry all require powerful server systems for critical performance tasks that require more powerful means of solutions that traditional CPUs cannot provide.

Created for Critical Success

Aspen Systems Direct has a wide array of servers with GPUs from the most trusted maker of high-capacity graphic processing units and is built for complex functions. NVIDIA Tesla has the power to get tasks done at better time rates. Designed for ease and built for efficiency, NVIDIA Tesla is the best solution for complex functions. With the added power of NVIDIA Tesla GPU and the processing capabilities of up-to-date Intel Xeon and AMD Opteron, you server will be a powerhouse of computing and data storage.  Created to ensure that difficult to process mathematical tasks are handled with better efficiency and greater control, GPUs greatly boost overall server performance. HPC, high performance computing, is a growing need within multiple industries.

Success in these high capacity network environments require power and efficiency that GPU enhanced servers provide at cost-friendly rate. Critical data is securely placed and processed, for ease and efficiency. Complex configurations are done at a greatly improved rate, the CPU will ensure that programming needs are met while the GPU tackles the mathematical processing needs. Truly revolutionary and innovative, GPU enhanced servers make for better business.

A revolution in technology

As traditional CPU technology becomes more and more outdated, GPU enhanced servers are the future. How does a GPU improve performance? GPU allows for complex processing to be divvied for efficiency. Instead of tasks being done by the CPU, the GPU divides the workload amount to smaller tasks which can be run at the same time. Enhancing not only the speed of tasks being done, dividing the process ensures that the tasks are handled with proper resources and power. Faster, and better, solutions for the most complex computer problems are solvable with a powerful GPU.

Specific tasks, especially those of the high performance computing variety, are no longer capable on standard CPU processors. Added power, one that truly works, will ensure that the program tasks are met.

  2. I am sorry, but I may disagree with your statement here. GPUs are processors or CPUs specially designed to perform 3D graphics transformations such as matrix transformations, lighting and shading effects. But if you read the specifications of these processors you may find they actually have lower speeds than the latest CPUs. GPU designers implemented special instructions just for graphics processor and it does not make it better than a Intel i7 or a Xenon processor. Servers requires another type of service such as parallelism which is well provided by multicore processors.

The GPU is only a modified version of a CPU to improve graphic processing.
