4 Hottest Trends in Home Theaters

Having a regular TV in your living room simply isn’t enough anymore. The home theater experience has been around for a long time and having a big TV screen and a dedicated sound system is nothing new. But this type of entertainment was usually reserved for people with bigger budgets. Luckily, price drops as advancements in television technology have made it possible that almost everyone can now afford a great home theater system.

So, if you have been planning to treat yourself to such a system, now is a perfect time. To give you an idea of what to look for when you go shopping for your system, we have created a list of four hottest trends in the home theater industry.

4K Monitors

First of all, any proper home theater system requires a great TV. Today, getting a 1080p TV simply won’t be enough and you should opt for nothing less than 4K. With more and more 4K TVs produced each year, we are witnessing a huge drop in their prices. Sooner than later almost every household will have one of these beasts in their living rooms.

Now, if you don’t care about image quality than 4K is not for you, but, if you ask us, no home theater system is complete without a 4K monitor. 4K`s image quality is four times better than 1080p`s and if you want a real movie experience, then this should be the number one priority.

Soundbars

For the genuine movie experience sound quality is equally important as image quality. The biggest difference between watching a movie in the theater and watching it at home is that epic surround sound you get from theater speakers. Home surround sound systems with multiple speakers have been around for quite a while; however, soundbars are a more popular solution for home theaters nowadays.

Their simple design and convenience make them a go-to sound option for home theater systems. Even though they are not capable of producing theater quality sound, they still have a lot of power behind them. Trust us, if you pick a soundbar system from one of the leading manufacturers like Samsung, LG, etc. you will not be disappointed.

Multiple screens

Multiple screens is probably the fastest growing trend when it comes to the home theater experience. It is fun to watch a movie on a big projector screen, but when a big sports event comes along like the World Football Cup you will need to have a couple of TV screens if you want to watch multiple games at the same time. The biggest problem with multiple screens is setting them up. In our experience, you will likely need a help from professionals. Fortunately, there are a lot of companies that specialize in TV installation in Brisbane, so you won’t have a hard time finding one.

Internet streaming

Lastly, we would like to talk about Internet streaming services. As you might already know, services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Go, and others are dominating the entertainment market. They produce their own original content and stream other critically-acclaimed movies, blockbusters and TV shows. They offer hours and hours of content under just one service. There is no need to clutter your living room with DVD boxes when you can simply stream your favorite movie directly on your TV. Of course, you will need an Internet connection and a smart TV.

And that is all. As you can see the world of home theaters is a lot of fun. Technology is constantly moving forward and we are getting new things each year. For now, these four trends are the hottest ones, but who knows what the future holds.

  1. Nice post! Although instead of a 4k TV you also could go for a real 4k projector to bring the cinema experience into your home. Prices are a bit high, because Sony is the only one with real 4k projectors on the market. I do think that prices may drop rapidly, when other manufactures will release their real 4k projectors. Looking forward to that!

  2. I agree that 4k is awesome..but most tv shows and games aren’t optimized for it and they simulate the 4k experience. But once the tech catches up there should be higher quality shows.

  4. No doubt, these are the latest trends in home theater installation. I think latest soundbars are quite better option and also they are more budget friendly than surround sound speaker systems. The other important aspect is space constraint. A single soundbar can easily accommodate in a smaller living room than multiple speaker system.

  5. 4K TVs have been a great addition to the world of home entertainment. The same old resolution was getting a little boring for the home user. I also see projectors being used for these purposes, but only when they have a good size and brightness for the right space.
