Amazon patent application reveal a smart cart for making things organized

Last year, Amazon made their big acquistion of purchasing WholeFoods for $13.7 billion. The news was shocking as it showed their interest to capture the physical purchasing customers. Since then they made many changes in Whole Foods such as price cut, using their prime platform, online shopping etc.

But Amazon is working on growing the WholeFoods just like they are. It seemed that Amazon has increased the patent filing activity as we witness substianial increase in their published patent application in USPTO site.

Amazon is also inventing or developing products for WholeFoods as we recently found a patent application which discloses a smart moving cart to move ordered items from one place to another.

This way it will solve the problem of mixing items of different orders when moving cart one place to other. The make the procedure complex and time consuming.

How the cart solve the problems?

The smart cart has the different sections which can be used to placed different customers orders. And the smart cart’s slots will be assigned for different customer’s orders serial-wise. The first order will get the first slot of the cart, the second order to be on second slot and so on.

The cart has RFID sensors to find the order to be on the right place. So, if a person put second order in the first slot, it will show the red light which indicates incorrect placement of the order. Similiarly, for correct placement, it’ll show blue of green light.

This way the things will not mixed up and every one get their orders on first come first serve basis.

Besides that, they can also use such carts in their warehouses where they have to move small items from one place to another. As they need to put specific things to specific place, so using the cart would really be helpful.

Amazon really works for making their acquistion a success and WholeFoods is their big acquisation ever. No wonder, they use their resources to make their investment into a huge profit. After all we know what Amazon business strategies are which help to make the winner to first company of reach one trillion dollar maket cap.
