It is a global network of commercial grade servers wherein members can post and download messages as well as files to more than 100,000 themed discussion groups called “newsgroups”. The so called “binary newsgroups” are special newsgroups which provide the possibility to add files to the messages. Usenet has no central server or administrator. It is powered by commercial news servers that are connected through multi-gigabit Internet connections. This enables users to download as quickly as their Internet connection would allow. You just log on to the usenet servers, download or post whatever you want, and then log off. In simpler terms, the usenet of today is very much like the Internet; however, you do not need a browser in order to browse around on websites with. All content stored in the usenet servers are converted into text. This means that the content of the binaries, needs to be patched together to create the regular file that we are used to.

Benefits of Usenet

Why should I enter the Usenet?

Fast – Usenet is always available as there is no server downtime. It is connected to 8 server farms globally, which means there are no incomplete downloads. You get to enjoy unlimited download speeds with up to multiple simultaneous connections.

Back pain is perhaps one of the most commonly known work-related injuries. It is normally often caused by regular work activities such as sitting in an office chair. People who tend to sit most of the day, especially those who use a computer at work while sitting in an office chair, are most susceptible to back pain.

Office ergonomics can help reduce the risk of repetitive injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome as well as the risks caused by prolonged sitting in an office chair such as leg pain, neck strain and lower back pain.

There are two simple ways on how to avoid work-related back pain – good posture and an ergonomic office chair. Good posture is very important especially when you tend to sit for hours when working. However, even if you know how to execute good posture while sitting, it won’t help much if your office chair is not comfortable or ergonomic. To find that perfect ergonomic chair, you have to know the many characteristics of the ergonomic chair and how it can support your needs.

Below are some tips on how to choose an ergonomic office chair:

1. Get to know the different features of an ergonomic chair.

Height – the height of an ergonomic chair must be adjustable so that you can sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, with knees angled at about 90 degrees and parallel to your hips.

Backrest – the backrest of an ergonomic chair must support the natural curve of your spine which in turn provides lower back support. The height must be ample enough to support your neck and shoulder region. There are some ergonomic chairs that have a recline function in their back rest to let you recline while sitting.

Armrest – the armrests support your arms so that your shoulders can rest at a comfortable position while you are working. Armrests must be adjustable in height and position for the convenience of different users and activities.

Seat – the seat of an ergonomic chair must provide comfortable support to the hips and buttocks. The seat depth must measure from your back to 2 to 4 inches from the back of your knees.

2. Think about what you will do most while sitting in your ergonomic chair. Some people spend most of their work hours talking on the phone, while there are those who type on their computers the whole day. Create a list of your needs and then compare the characteristics of ergonomic chairs to help you select the right ergonomic office chair for you.

3. Go to stores that sell ergonomic chairs and try them out. When you have selected the characteristics and functions of the ergonomic chair that you would like to have, go visit a store with ergonomic chairs and try them out so that you can assess support, positioning and comfort.

4. Choose the color, materials and style of your ergonomic chair. Many ergonomic chairs nowadays come in different materials and styles, such as fabric, leather or mesh back chairs. Some models even come in different colors to suit your mood or the theme of your office room.

5. Compare prices of ergonomic chairs. Last but not least, browse at online stores, office furniture stores and wholesale stores to compare prices of their ergonomic chairs with the features you are searching for. Do not forget to consider the cost of shipping should you decide to order an ergonomic chair online.

No matter what kind of ergonomic office chair you use, it is vital that short breaks must be taken throughout the day in order to improve circulation in your body. Getting up from your chair every hour or two will definitely promote stronger posture, relieve strain on your eyes and absolutely reduce work fatigue.
Related Articles:

The phrase “Content is King” has a lot to answer for, especially to businesses, which have been left with the general impression that if you create content you get better marketing results, somehow, somewhere. The idea could have been explained a lot better, particularly to that large percentile of businesses which are engaged in a combination of Search Engine Optimization, online marketing, media and hard copy advertising.

As a matter of fact, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a very good benchmark standard for modern hard copy advertising, and it’s a lot more effective and economic than the market mythmakers have led businesspeople to believe with their little jingle about content. The common factors need to be understood, to start with.

For example-

SEO marketing is done on the world’s biggest billboard, the internet. It’s very much a visual presence and it’s also an information-based advertising medium. SEO is a broad-based medium, but it uses SEO keywords and phrases for targeting to get the message through to consumers.

Hard copy is a targeted visual form of advertising. Whatever type of print medium you use, the idea is also to provide useful information for consumers. The only real difference is the amount of information you can provide in hard copy, which is comparatively limited in terms of space.

They’re effectively identical in one area of content- Information values.

This is the common area where content really is king, and where the content has to be used effectively, economically and efficiently for both online and hard copy materials.

If you’re getting a business card printed, you’ll notice that the business card printing services provide you with a lot of options for your content. There’s a good reason for this approach- You get more value out of your business card with more content. To give an idea of the information values which the content of your business card can provide, the average business card can provide more information than a standard Yellow Pages listing. The reader of your card also gets more value.

The whole idea of “Content is King” is based on the value of information to recipients. This is an absolutely basic advertising principle, and it dictates the value of print media copy.

Good information content, like SEO keywords, is focused on the subject matter. It provides:

New information to potential customers

Value-based information like prices

Distribution information

Services information

Points of contact for inquiries

User information

Special features

Points of interest

It’s no exaggeration to say that a single run of corporate brochure printing can provide a wealth of valuable information. This is the content that drives sales. It’s directly focused on areas of value to consumers. Interestingly, hard copy materials have been “reincarnated” as versions of SEO-type content. The hard copy is the browsing merchandise in terms of marketing presence, and the visual prints are also highly effective attention getters, particularly to targeted market segments.

That’s why content is king in print, as well as online. When you’re looking for better information values, look at the SEO approach. Expect to be stunned by the difference in response and in sales.
Related Articles:

With a constantly increasing database of over 750 comparisons that allow users to compare smartphones, tablets, and even AV receivers FindTheBest is helping users to find exactly what they are looking for. FindTheBest compiles data from experts and trusted resources to create accurately rated comparisons that then allow users to customize their results based on various filters.

In other words, FindTheBest has created a solution to the disorganization of the Internet.

While Google search leaves users attempting to find any shred of reliable information, and possibly even trusting a biased or inaccurate resource, FindTheBest gives them the ability to find comparisons created by people, without the bias of services that require payment for inclusion.

FindTheBest was founded in August 2010 in order to provide a database of reliable comparisons for its users. This idea has continued to be the drive behind our goal to provide users with the ability to find exactly what they are looking for.

If data based websites like Kayak can provide users with an unbiased source of all their options, then why not create an engine that provides the same information for all of life’s daily decisions? FindTheBest has done just that, and we are helping our users to make the most out of all their decisions.

FindTheBest has grown continually since its creation, with no signs of slowing down. Since FindTheBest’s launch, traffic has grown to over 100,000 unique visitors per day, and over 3 million unique visitors per month – or, a growth rate of 650 percent. The site continues to develop, as our researchers launch several new comparisons searches every week.

FindTheBest creates its comparisons based on information from several sources– Government and institutional databases, research from a team of analysts, sophisticated algorithms and user-generated data that’s verified prior to publication. All of these sources allow us to not only provide users with accurate information, but also to guarantee that it remains entirely unbiased.

Don’t switch from page to page in order compare two different products, or go through the hundreds of billions of pages attached to even the most simple of Google searches, when you can compare products from Digital Pianos to Digital Cameras side in detailed, user-friendly columns. FindTheBest is the Internet’s best resource for accurate and bias free comparisons.
Related Articles:

You have to put money in a savings account so that you can earn some interest on it.

You have to invest money into a stock market and try to make a good return on it.

You have to spend money to start a business in order to make a profit in the future.

All of the scenarios stated above are considered to be the “norm” for many people. However, what about trying to make money even if you have no money to spend with in the first place? Is that even possible? The answer is YES!

Thanks to the technological age that we live in right now, the Internet has proven to be our important source of not only valuable information, but also extra income. With the help of websites such as OLX classifieds, we can legitimately earn money without having to spend anything! OLX is a company that was established in March 2006 by Internet entrepreneurs Alec Oxenford and Fabrice Grinda. It is now considered to be one of the biggest free classifieds website in the world. According to Wikipedia, it hosts free user-generated classified advertisements for urban communities around the world and provides discussion forums sorted by various topics. It provides you a simple solution to the complexities involved in selling, buying, trading and meeting people near you or wherever they may be in the world!

Ways to Earn Money without having to Spend Money (with the help of OLX):

You could create something that you can sell to others

If you have a creative mind, you may try developing products that you think other people would want to buy. The possibilities are endless – from t-shirt printing, photography, crafts making to innovative home improvement products.

You could turn any of your possessions into cash

This is perhaps the most basic and easy way to make money without having to spend anything. You could put up a garage sale or post some items up for sale at OLX.com. Lots of people who greatly care about saving money and do not mind owning pre-loved stuff turn to buying used items such as furniture, clothes, cars, gadgets, toys, video games, collectibles, etc.

You can provide a service

In the early days, it is very common for young people to offer services to others in their neighborhood in exchange for money. Such services may include babysitting, tutoring, cleaning the house, walking the dog, doing errands for elderly people, etc. These kinds of services are still in high demand right now wherever you go, and the rates can be pretty good too!

Or if you have a knack for writing, you could also offer your services to those who are potentially looking for online writers, and you get to enjoy working at the comfort of your own home while trying to earn some extra money.
Related Articles:

The costs of printing, specifically that of ink cartridges are going through the roof! If latest report from GIA is to be believed, by 2017 this industry is going to be $ 18.2 billion. Global economic crisis has little effect on this industry as it is growing and will be around 18 billion. On the hand the consumers are not immune from the effects of global recession, so they are looking for affordable options to save costs.

Companies like InkMan, has come up with such solutions and options for the general consumers and businesses alike. They are hoping to cater to the increasing demand of cheap ink cartridges. The option the company is giving to its consumers is that of compatible ink cartridges. InkMan give its customers choice to choose from original and compatible ink cartridges for their printers.

What are compatible ink cartridges?

A compatible ink cartridge is a cartridge which is completely new, made of new parts with new components by a company other than the original printer manufacturer. Compatible cartridge manufacturers usually operate and meet (and sometimes surpass) the specific specifications of the original printer manufacturer. Also, if you are buying from a trusted and dependable source, you can be sure that you will receive high quality products with a satisfactory customer service.

The only reason for the companies manufacturing them to expand and flourish is the fundamental shift which we are seeing in the consumer behavior. With cost becoming a deciding factor in today’s recession hit economy, consumers like small businesses and home users want to cut costs and this has become USP for such companies. This is one of the reasons why they are registering growth at such difficult times. The value they give to the consumers by supplying better cartridges at low cost couple with best in class service, make a win-win situation for both sides.

Although, the raw material cost of printer ink and cartridges has increased, but, increasing number of manufacturers has brought down the cost for consumers.

Are they safe?

Next Question that comes to mind is: Are these compatible cartridges safe? The answer is: if you have bought them from a reliable and trusted source, they are.

What about my printer’s warranty?

This is yet another question usually asked by consumers. Will I loose my warranty if I use compatible cartridges? The clear answer is:

No!

Printer’s warranty is not lost just because one is using cartridges manufactured by another manufacturer.

There have been some apprehensions about the printer’s ink quality. Let me clarify by saying that if you are using the right compatible cartridge for your printer, you are safe. One thing which you may need to remember is that if you are a professional photographer then I would recommend you using the original cartridges. For all other purposes of like simple home and business printing jobs you can rely on compatible cartridges for your printer.

In the year 2011 the WorldWideWeb celebrated its 21st Birthday, not with a big bang, but many people will remember the start of the WWW in 1990. 21 years is an impressive age in a time where computers are getting thinner and lighter every year and Smartphones are more powerful than most of the computers 10 years ago.

But if you compare Usenet to the WorldWideWeb you will realize that the WWW is still a teenager. Usenet started 1979 when two young US students started sharing information between their UNIX based Computers. Between the 80s and the 90s Usenet was one of the most important sources for computer and tech fans. Usenet was used to share information and thoughts about nearly every topic but most users loved to talk about computer and technology. So it’s no big surprise that big companies like Microsoft were first mentioned (May 1981) in Usenet. Another cool example is IMdB (Internet Movie Data Base) who was “founded” in Usenet when thousand Users wrote about their favorite Movies and ranked them. This was the first step on IMdBs way up becoming one of the most important movie sources on the internet.

Usenet has such a great history and will always be a keep in mind as one of the first “forums”. But it changed a lot in the last couple of years. Since the WWW started its success story in 1990 Usenet lost a lot of Users and fans. But Usenet was never dead; Usenet just became unpopular over night.

The big comeback came around the years 2000/2001 when some users started sharing binary files over Usenet. Sharing binary files was no new technology but it was something nobody ever did before and so the Usenet got back in the spotlight. The first professional Usenet Provider started selling access to those Newsgroups and the community grew a lot. Now in 2011 there are a lot of those providers, offering not only access but also Highspeed-Downloads and awesome Newsreaders. The Usenet is now open to the mainstream computer user without any knowledge about computer or configuration of a Newsreader. And these are the users of the future. Sharing, posting and downloading files is the future for the Usenet. Nowadays Usenet has nearly as much user as back in the good old days when the WWW wasn’t invented.

And Usenet will always be popular, even in a future where Internet, Social Networks and Web 2.0 are still the Number one sources for all kinds of information. Especially in times where SOPA and internet-censoring is big topic in the web. Usenet is “un-censorable” and “un-destroyable”.

This guest article was provided by Thomas, a Usenet fan from Germany who recently started reviewing Usenet providers.

Known mainly for being the founder of Skype, whose software allows users to enjoy free voice calls over the internet wherever they are in the world, Zennstrom has recently got the techno-enthusiasts excited thanks to his latest company, FreedomPop.

Though FreedomPop remains fairly unknown in the UK, this will soon change as they have recently announced an exciting new deal with wireless broadband network operator Lightsquared. The partnership between the two companies will bring a whole new aspect to the wireless broadband market, as the deal will see FreedomPop able to offer free mobile communications to everyone.

Though Lightsquared’s 4G-LTE network is still under development and going through testing, the network is due to go live in the States during the second half of 2012. And as soon as it does, FreedomPop will use the company’s network to launch its free mobile broadband service. This will be followed by a roll-out to the UK and other countries shortly after.

The 4G network, which stands for fourth generation in mobile communications, already has wireless broadband users getting excited by offering faster and slicker internet access for all wireless technology such as laptops, tablets and smart phones. By partnering with Lightsquared, FreedomPop can provide everyone with fast, convenient broadband services – for free!

Many people might be thinking that this development sounds too good to be true. And if it wasn’t for the buy-in of Zennstrom, then there would probably be even more doubt, but Lightsquared are adamant in their claim that its new 4G-LTE network will offer internet services to over 260 million people across the US, moving on to the UK and other countries shortly after. FreedomPop echo this claim, saying that their free broadband services will launch in the latter half of 2012, initially in America, focusing on the areas that are most in need of wireless broadband.

When talking about the deal between the two companies, a FreedomPop company spokesman said, “The internet is a right, not a privilege.” But many are wondering just how it is possible to offer free wireless broadband for everyone and for free. Many thoughts are centred on the idea of ad-based revenue, which probably won’t be that different from many of the other online services already in use. However, the latest thinking suggests the service will offer initial access for free, with charges for additional download usage. This kind of free service will surely rejuvenate the broadband market and bring many savings to both businesses and individuals.

However FreedomPop decide to finance their services, the benefits to mobile broadband users will be immense. For businesses with workers who are on the move and staff who want the freedom to work away from the office, these developments will be of great help. Personal broadband users, who like to get online wherever and whenever they want, will also benefit greatly from this deal. Here in the UK, we will have to wait a little longer for the new 4G network to come online. However, once it does we can look forward to making the most of the higher speeds and better connections and most of all the savings to be made on wireless broadband.

This is recognized as a key transformational trend in IT today. Cloud computing ensures flexibility at a time when demands on the data center are growing, so, what works on a cloud computing system? Any computer program or a word processing software works on cloud computing system.

Here are a few examples of cloud services: Yahoo!Mail, Google Docs, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Ebay and many more. Users can access these services with a web browser and internet connection from any computer. Data is not confined to the hard drive of the computer the user is using.

Cloud services are the biggest advantage to businesses as they bring down the hardware costs. There’s no need to buy a large hard drive to store information as they will be stored on a remote computer.

Big companies and organizations can increase capacity without investing in new infrastructure, training personnel, buy a set of software licenses for every employee. These organizations could pay a fee to a cloud computing company and get company wide access to computer applications.

Many people have already switched to the cloud services with use of social networking applications and web browsers. They are using laptop and desktop computers with remote servers, smartphones, subscribing to RSS feeds, managing banking transaction through mobile/internet and blogging on WordPress. Technology experts expect that people will adopt the Hybrid cloud which is a composition of two or more clouds as multiple cloud systems that are connected in a way that allows programs and data to be moved easily from one deployment system to another.

SaaS:

The future trend in the area of software as a service will throw light on integration of data and services. This integration will take take notice of the growing number of cloud services. SaaS has simplified the deployment and acquisition of software tools for consumers thereby giving the low initial cost, no infrastructure and customization benefits.

A recent survey says that people who use multiple SaaS application are planning to extend their usage over time. This gives a good oppurtunity as well as challenge for data integration vendors. As the usage of SaaS increases, data virtualization can progress by associating data from mobile devices and other end-user derived sources. Integrating data among applications is what SaaS providers need to look for to work on.

PaaS:

Platform as a service allows organizations to target on innovation than the delivery of services. This means that companies can host powerful applications and deploy them anywhere in the world without having the infrastructure. Adopting PaaS application platforms has become necessary as a majority of people are using mobile and web applications.

The Google App Engine can be cited as the instance for adoption of PaaS. Although there are concerns expressed on cloud computing, large businesses are going use to cloud due to control and security issues and the people in the under developed areas are likely to use the cloud through mobile phones.

Having a website is essential for business as it allows them to easily market their products and even interact with current and potential customers. However, owning a website is not enough.Businesses need to make money and thus it does not add value by just having people visit the website without enquiring or making any purchase. There are several tips that can aid website owners to properly strategies on ways of improving their website conversion rates.

Design of the Website

The first thing to focus on is the design of the website. The website need not be fancy or full of flashy images. The important thing here is to keep the website simple and easy to use. A website that is easy to navigate and is soft on the eyes has a higher change of generating higher conversion rates than a poorly and difficult to use website. In addition to design, ensure that the website contains interesting and educative information. The content needs to answer all the questions users might have regarding your product and thus are likely to stay longer on the site. The more they stay, the more likely you are to convert them into sales.

Catchy Landing Page

In addition to having a good website design, you also need to create a catchy sales or landing page. There are many tools available nowadays that can allow you to design sales pages without having to hire an expensive graphic or web designer. These tools aid in the design of attractive sales and landing pages that include relevant graphics, sales icons, multimedia and well formatted texts. With the use of these tools, an average website owner orblogger can easily design sales pages that increase the website’s conversion rates.

Providing Incentives to Customers

If you are running a campaign then you might as well consider providing incentives to customers. This is one of the best kept secrets of increasing website conversions and increasing sales. By offering gifts or rewards, customers will flock to your website in huge numbers and in the process increase both your traffic and conversion rates. Keep in mind that the incentives do not have to be expensive. Simple items such as ebooks and coupons can do the trick. For instance, if you selling a product that costs $100 you could consider offering another product that goes for $10 or $20 as a bonus.

One of the most important aspects in marketing is clearly identifying the target market. Think of the people who will use the service or product you are selling. The more you have a better understanding of the target market, the higher are your chances of improving your website conversion rates. Understanding the target market is important since it allows you to create relevant sales campaigns and provide incentives that are of value to them. Lastly, make sure to include your contact details on your website or sales page. This includes email addresses, phone number and even links to social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
