iPad Wins EISA Award

The well-known iPad from Apple has won an EISA award this year. EISA stands for “European Imaging and Sound Association” and behind it are 50 tech magazines from 19 different countries.

Why did iPad win the “European Tablet 2010-2011 award”?

This revolutionary new product marks the beginning of a new era for publishing. Magazines and books can be published and read in digital form on an impressive 9.7” (24.63 cm) LCD LED-backlit, capacitive touch screen just 13.4mm deep. […] iPad also lets you store and view pictures and movies; the wide viewing angle allowing a number of people to enjoy them together.

I’m still very satisfied with my iPad and I’m not too surprised to see iPad win this particular EISA award. After all, it’s not like the market is filled with alternatives to iPad at the moment (yet), sure there are some, but not something than the lesser tech savvy people might have heard about.

Congratulations, iPad, you deserved it!
