Windows 3.1 In Your Browser? Try It Out!

Nostalgia? Why not take good ol’ Windows 3.1 for a spin in your browser. Michaelv.org has a decent version of Windows 3.1 running and it requires nothing else than your modern-day web browser to use it.

Windows 3.1 was first released in October 1992 and later replaced with Windows 3.11 in 1993. A few years later, Windows 95 arrived (in 1995). Despite being as old as it is, it wasn’t until 2008 Microsoft completely shut down the distribution of Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. Windows 3.1 was also used for some of the onboard entertainment systems until 2008 on long-distance flights by Virgin Atlantic and Qantas.
