Firefox 3.6 Beta 1 Available After Two Week Delay

mozilla_firefox_logoFirefox 3.6 beta was supposed to be released around mid-October, but it took until now to have the first beta available for the public.

The new beta is based on the Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering engine, coming to you with several new features and enhancements:

  • One-click change of browser appearance.
  • Now warns user if a plugin is too old (I guess, like the current version does when upgrading?)
  • Built-in video playback supports full screen.
  • Support for WOFF font format.
  • Improved JavaScript engine.
  • Support for new CSS, DOM and HTML5 technologies.

If you want to try it out, download it here for Windows or Mac OS X.
