Future technologies intended to change our day-to-day life!

Modular houses. One of the main trends of the past 10 years is the extinction of villages and the overpopulation of cities. The desire to move to the larger cities leads to the rising costs of real estate. Modular houses will make such purchase more affordable. Prefabricated houses are manufactured at the factory and installed in the required place. The simplicity of manufacturing, massive production, the universal design reduces cost of such houses.

Vertical farms. The population of Earth is expected to reach 9 billion people by 2050 with 80% of people living in large cities. And then we come across such a problem. In order to survive, in addition to water and oxygen, we need food. It might take a lot of space to grow food in such quantity. The objective is to be able to feed 9 billion people without damaging our planet. However, a solution to this problem is vertical farms.
This is a special complex of multi-level greenhouses. Such farms already exist and demonstrate high efficiency. For example, the first commercial vertical farm appeared in Singapore, it is located in the 38-tier tower. The largest vertical farm in the world is located in Japan. Its area is 25 thousand square meters and it requires 40% less energy, 80% less fertilizer and 99% less water than a conventional farm. Generally, it sounds like a technology of the present but it skills requires multiple modifications.

Vacuum train called “Hyperloop”. The original idea about such loops in the air belongs to the Elon Musk but he didn’t dare to make this dream come true. Hyperloop should be a transport system with capsules using air cushions to transport passengers through this pipes under low pressure (almost in a vacuum) at a speed up to 1000 km / h. On the preliminary stage of this project, this capsule should fly by means of compressed air but later it was substituted by the more relevant technology of magnetic levitation. Technically it is possible, but financially it is rather expensive so the only question now is how to reduce the costs. Once the financial question is solved, one can expect the emergence of a high-speed, quiet, autonomous and secure road. This system of pipes will be built in the air of underground.

Battery with organic radicals. It is impossible to imagine our day-to-day life without our cell-phones. Year by year these ones become more powerful and multifunctional. The autonomous work time is the biggest problem experienced by manufacturers because it is difficult to meet the requirement of capacity with all the functionality of modern cell-phones. The battery with organic radicals (ORB) is a possible solution to this problem. Similar batteries appeared in 2005. So far, they are not available on the market, but it is continuously developed and soon enough these miraculous batteries will be released. This battery contains polymers made of organic radicals, flexible plastic that can substitute common lithium-ion batteries. Solid organic radicals are transformed into a gel and mixed with the carbon base. Ultra-thin ORBs will become a much more powerful alternative to today’s lithium-ion batteries.
