Reasons‌ ‌you‌ ‌should‌ ‌consider‌ ‌VPS‌ ‌as‌ ‌your‌ ‌hosting‌ ‌solution

Are you a business owner looking for more performance to handle more traffic to your website? Perhaps you’re a blogger on a shoestring budget who looks to boost your site’s capabilities by upgrading from a free service. You could also be a developer looking for added flexibility to run taxing applications and software configurations.

If you’re someone who’s serious about expanding your website’s capability on the web, you will need a powerful, scalable and fully managed solution.

Enter Virtual Private Server (VPS)

VPS is a customizable hosting solution for those seeking high power, flexible and affordable hosting plans. Virtual private server hosting allows you to customize your operating system, install applications that you need and support higher visitor traffic with enhanced server resources.

What about other hosting options?

Hosting services differ in how the servers are set up as well as the type of access customers have to them. VPS Hosting is a hybrid approach that uses the advantages of Shared Hosting and Dedicated Server Hosting.

Shared Hosting is often the “entry-level” choice for hosting, giving multiple customers access to one physical server. Things like CPU, RAM, disk space is shared while customization given is very limited.

Dedicated Server Hosting is a top choice for those who can afford it as it gives a single customer an entire server to themselves. There’s a higher degree of self-management and power that comes at a higher cost.

Now let’s see a couple of reasons why you should consider VPS hosting solution – if you’re still undecided.

Amazing scalability and cost. If you’re looking to expand your business within the next year, a VPS is a good choice to adapt to your needs.  You can start with VPS Hosting even as a small business and grow with it as your business expands. You simply need to authorize the cost of any upgrade or downgrade. You also don’t need to worry about hardware installations or long data transfers since VPS lets you decide and when you need more (or less) resources.

VPS is more or less right in the middle when it comes to cost.  Since you’re not investing in the upfront costs of a physical server like Dedicated Server Hosting, you only take and pay for what you need and don’t overinvest in unwanted features.

And, when you add in just how easily and effectively a VPS tends to scale, this makes it the most cost-effective hosting choice there is. In other words, you get what you pay for and/or you pay for what you use.

You have better control and security. VPS lets you call the shots (if you want it). This is perfect if you want to operate things on your own or need the assistance of your hosting provider. VPS provides the root access, which gives you the ability to install and update your software, make backups, run batch files, customize your control panel, and update any software.

And because you don’t share the server with others, you have more control and no rogue application won’t shut you. VPS gives you root access, personal IP and server space, so security is not an issue, unlike Shared hosting.

Reliable uptime. Downtime can ruin a business, which is why VPS HOSTING is a good choice. When your site becomes popular, visitors won’t get frustrated over slow loading times since VPS can handle all the incoming traffic, keeping your site operating without a hitch.  Google also accounts for page loading times when ranking websites, so the fast performance of VPS Hosting can only help to keep your business site top of mind.

So, if your business can benefit from the considerations above, you need to respond quickly to take advantage of the benefits of VPS Hosting. Best of luck!

  1. Totally agree on the points above. I would also add that price of the VPS server much lower than the dedicated server solution but actually provides similar experience from performance and capacity perspective.

As for shared hosting – the price difference much lower but performance, security, and scalability are a weak points without real solutions.
