Apple Changsha opens September 4 in China

Apple gave a sneak peek on Apple Changsha on Wednesday, the first ever Apple Store in in the Hunan province of China.

Set in the heart of the provincial capital city, the location of Apple Changsha provides easy access for customers across central China.

The brand new store is found in the popular Changsha IFS shopping mall, which faces the busy Huangxing Road, a very prosperous main shopping street of Changsha.

The new store will have 100 highly-trained professional retail team members who collectively speak various languages such as English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and French. Visitors entering the store shall find a uniquely designed double-height façade, featuring an all-new gradient frit and mirrored coating treatment that changes in appearance depending on the time of day or season.

Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People Deirdre O’Brien said, “We are thrilled to be opening in Changsha, a community filled with creativity and profound cultural heritage. So many of our team members already call Hunan province home, and they are ready to welcome and support their neighborhood at Apple Changsha.”

Similar to all its stores, the Apple Store in Changsha will also feature “Today At Apple” sessions, free daily courses directed by Apple Creative Pro specialists that mainly provide visitors the ability to learn more about their Apple devices, bring forth creative inspirations, and improve their practical skills.

Apple Changsha officially opens September 4, Saturday at 10am CST. The store will implement the same health measures for all visitors and retail team members as seen in all Apple Store locations across China – wearing a mask, checking body temperature, and maintaining social distancing.
