If you are planning to buy a pair of Beats Flex wireless earphones very soon, you need to know that the price has just gone up.

Apple has suddenly increased the price of the earbuds – now it costs $69.99 – a $20 jump from its previous price of $49.99.

As reported by 9to5Mac, Apple has mysteriously increased the price of its most affordable Beats earbuds, leaving no explanation for the sudden price hike. This move has also affected the earbuds in a number of countries, not just in the USA. For example, in Canada the Beats Flex earphones now cost $89.95 from its previous $69.95 price.

First launched last October, the Beats Flex made headlines during its release all thanks to its low price compared to other Apple headphone products, and since then they have become a highly popular item. A follow-up to the BeatsX, the Beats Flex features an in-ear design with a wire between the right and left earbuds.

Since the product has not been updated in any way, currently it is unclear as to why Apple has decided to increase the price of the Beats Flex earphones by $20.

Due to Beats Flex’s affordable price, it is speculated that the price increase may have something to do with the supply chain constraints that resulted to a higher cost of components across the industry. Even though they are $20 more expensive now, the Beats Flex are still considered a very affordable option for those who want to try out the world of Apple headphones, but of course, it’s not an impressive deal as it was before. The Beats Flex offer pretty much the same seamless connectivity functionality available with Apple’s more expensive Beats choices, and they come in classic Black, Smoke Gray, Flame Blue and Yuzu Yellow.

The Beats Flex can last up to 12 hours and auto-play/pause is included. It also features Find My integration and there is a 10-minute Fast Fuel charging option that gives 1.5 hours of playback.
