G Network: An innovative wireless communication technology with high data security

What is 5G?

5G is the next advancement in telecom networks. It is the latest global wireless standard after 4G networks. 5G technology delivers a higher data speed of 20 Gbps, it also provides much lower latency, which can advance the performance of business applications. This network is said to unleash a huge 5G IoT (Internet of Things) environment, where new networks can virtually connect everything and everyone including machines and devices like self-driving automobiles and so on, allowing users with new user experiences and connecting new industries by providing high performance and improved efficiency.

5G delivers connectivity from the cloud to clients making the network virtualized and software-driven, and taking full advantage of cloud technologies.

The difference between 4G Network and 5G Network

Faster

The 5G network is 100 times faster than the 4G network. It can deliver high performance for a progressively connected society. For better understanding here is an example, earlier what would take 15 minutes on average to download an HD film over a 4G network, the same now would take just 1 minute using a 5G. The requirements for connectivity would differ based on what the network is being consumed for. Streaming a live game on your phone or driving your automatic car, would consume different levels of connectivity that aren’t always available with 4G.

Latency

Latency is the time taken between sending and receiving information on your device. 5g is known to be faster in performance which means a lower latency rate with this network. The latency rate for 5G is just 1 millisecond, whereas the latency rate for 4G  is  200 milliseconds. Adapting to the 5G network will help send and receive information quickly leading to developing new services and devices, like more connected cars, virtual-reality gaming, remote surgical operations, and so on. Creating a perfect combination for IoT and 5G

Capacity

This next-generation network is expected to have significantly more capacity than 4G had. Resulting in a better connection for everyone’s phones at a common venue, so you can more easily showcase on social media about being at the big music festival or a game which would earlier take few extra minutes. By providing a uniform user experience, the data rates stay consistently high even when the network users are on the move.

How fast is 5G?

5G is intended to deliver high data rates of up to 20 Gbps. Apart from speed, this network can provide much more capacity by growing into a new spectrum, such as mmWave. 5G also delivers much lower latency for a more instant response.

The usefulness of 5G

Speed Upgrades

The projected speed of a 5G network is up to 100x the increase compared to 4G. Speed boosts will mean thrilling possibilities for consumers. Transferring a high-resolution movie from consuming 8 minutes to now just 7 seconds. Once companies start adapting the entire package of 5G features, consumers and businesses will consider 5G networks as the strongest alternative for fast broadband connections.

Low Latency

Latency is an important factor of wireless generation to reduce. 5G networks provide a much lower latency compared to the earlier networks, with the transferring of data taking less than five milliseconds. This opens up the possibility to control devices remotely in actual time, 5G latency working faster than human visual processing. Thus roosting remote applications that use 5G and IoT and reducing the human interference for any. New applications will involve the device to devise communication that will avoid any human delay in communication. 5G has the perfect combination needed for virtual reality and augmented reality applications which are high speed and minimal lag, opening doors for this network to move towards taking over society.

Greater Capacity

5G Speed is building a strong foundation for IoT development. 5G and IoT go hand in hand, restructuring wireless networks and hoe the internet will be consumed. Having the capacity to effortlessly communicate using thousands of devices, newer applications, and innovative ideas for smart cities, factories, farms, schools, and homes will flourish. Smart homes and smart cities will boom with the help of 5G. AI will be introduced to rural places with edge computing. Right from personalized smart homes to an automatic car, and automatic traffic lights to remote monitoring medical assistance, 5G applications will impact nearly everyone and everything.

Higher Bandwidth

5G has the possibility to provide larger amounts of data due to its super speed and network capacity, allowing greater optimization of network traffic and smoother usage handling. Earlier, crowded venues always struggled to provide seamless connectivity to their large audiences. The entering of 5G will make it possible for the crowd to live stream their experience from within the crowd. Higher bandwidth will very soon be seen boosting businesses, impacting many divisions and departments in the form of big data. Companies receiving these huge data from their customers, suppliers, and internal teams, can process and analyze it in a better way. With 5G, huge data can turn into actionable knowledge.

Network Coverage

Today, the 5G network is still making its way in the market, not yet having its full coverage in many places, and consumers and businesses are eagerly waiting to experience the full benefits of this network.

5G in everyday life

Telecom networks are already playing a huge role in everyone’s lives today, 5G will improve the scope to the next level for its consumers. Some of the applications that would use 5G for daily life would be for downloading movies, app and video call speed, IoT’s, Uninterrupted connections on the move and live game streaming, Automatic Car connection, Virtual reality in streaming, Telemedicine, etc.

5G and cybersecurity

To an extent, this network is more secure compared to any of its predecessors. It codes more data, leaving less available space to be intercepted. Being cloud-based allows for better monitoring. 5G network has added a feature called “sliced” which allows different devices to have access to different networks, and have network-specific protections. But at the time, this network could be less secure because of the possibility to connect to multiple devices, there is a huge space to attack. But companies are continuously working on innovative ways to provide the best security.
