Twitter Mashup: 100 Megapixel Profile Picture

LarsD from over at BlogInTheBag.com has created a program (still command line based, I believe) that will create a 100 megapixel mosaic picture, based on your Twitter followers and it will eventually look like your own profile picture.

For testing purpose, he used my Twitter profile picture. Here’s a video of how 50,000 profile pictures (45×45 each) looks in a mosaic:

Check out LarsD’s blog post, 100 Megapixel Twitter Profile Image, for more information on his Twitter mashup.

  8. I don’t want to act silly but…. O…M…G! This looks really fun! ^^
If I were you, I’ll start the video from the part when the follower thumbnails are showing and gradually zoom out until your profile picture is shown! I bet the readers will be more astonished unknowing what to expect. 🙂

    Really cool!

    • Unfortunately I didn’t create the video, so I can’t change it 🙁 But your idea sounds interesting, we’ll have to consider it if/when LarsD releases his program for online and public use.
