The much-awaited event by Apple today will be livestreamed via multiple online channels, including YouTube and the Apple TV app.
The tech giant’s first media event this 2021, the “Spring Loaded” event, is scheduled today, April 20. It shall be livestreamed from the company’s campus in Cupertino, California, USA. The event is expected to bring out the next-gen iPad, Apple TV, AirTags and iMac. Some details about the iOS 14.5 may also be mentioned at the event. Also, Apple may unveil its new AirPods that may be called the AirPods 3 at today’s event.
When and Where to Watch
The Apple event shall start at 10am PDT (5pm GMT) and will be livestreamed via multiple channels. Watch it live through the Apple Events website on your iPad, iPhone, Mac, PC, smartphone, or any other device that has a Web browser. The site also lets you add a reminder to the event on your calendar so you can catch it live on time. You can also watch the Apple event live on your smart TV, Mac, iPad, iPhone or other devices using the Apple TV app.
If you prefer to watch the Apple event live via YouTube, that option is also available. Apple’s official YouTube channel will stream the event live.
What to Expect at the Apple Event 2021
Many expect Apple to unveil its updated iPad models at today’s Spring Loaded event, including an entry-level iPad, a new iPad mini and some new iPad Pro models. The updated iPad Pro series is speculated to have 5G mmWave support and mini-LED displays. The new iPad Pro models may also have multiple display size options and an all-new Apple chip within. Other than that, Apple is rumored to unveil a new version of the Apple Pencil that may be called the Apple Pencil 3.
Aside from the iPad lineup, Apple is highly anticipated to launch its new iMac models at today’s virtual event. The next-gen iMac series may likely have Apple’s M1 chip that it placed on the MacBook and Mac mini in 2020. Along with multiple color options, there will also be some design upgrades expected in the new iMac models. Apple is also likely to introduce a 24-inch iMac in today’s event.
Another item that may be unveiled in this event is the much-awaited AirTags, a Bluetooth tracker may come in two different sizes and rival against items by Tile. The AirTags may possibly be waterproof and have magnetic charging support. It is made compatible for devices including the iPad, iPhone and Mac.
Other than that, Apple may also update its AirPods and could debut as AirPods 3 at today’s event. The new AirPods may sport a design similar to the AirPods Pro and include its system-in-package (SiP) to offer an upgraded truly wireless audio experience on-the-go.
Apple might also unveil the new Apple TV in today’s event, which could have the A12X chip and include 64GB as well as 128GB of storage options.
Apple is also going to host its WWDC 2021 virtually in June, where we can expect new updates to their operating systems including iOS, macOS, and iPadOS.
