According to Fortune, Apple has topped their annual list of the world’s most admired companies. The tech giant has been first in that list for an impressive 14 years straight now.
For the 2021 list, Fortune narrowed down 1,500+ companies to the most admired in the world with the assistance of management consulting company Korn Ferry and nearly 4,000 corporate executives, analysts and directors voting in a survey.
Tech and entertainment companies secured the top four spots, with Amazon as runner-up and Microsoft, Disney and Starbucks rounding out the top five, respectively.

Fortune states, “After a year in which humanity leaned more heavily than ever on tech giants – to connect, entertain, and even feed us in a time of isolation – it is fitting that Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft hold the top three spots in Fortune’s ranking of corporate reputation.”
“Apple tops the list for the 14th year in a row, based on our poll of around 3,800 corporate executives, directors, and analysts. Elsewhere on the All-Stars list, companies that became even more essential during the pandemic were among the biggest movers.”
Streaming giant Netflix returned to the top 10, a natural outcome given the pandemic situation. Meanwhile, Medical supplier Abbott Laboratories, chipmaker Nvidia, and fintech pioneer PayPal entered the top 50 for the very first time.
