Apple announced that it has opened its newest store in South Korea on Saturday, April 9.
Apple Myeongdong is the third Apple Store in South Korea. The two other locations in the East Asian country are Apple Yeouido and Apple Garosugil.
This third new retail store is located in the center of Seoul’s vibrant and bustling shopping district and will serve as Apple’s biggest store in South Korea, where customers can discover Apple’s latest products, participate in educational Today at Apple sessions, and receive best-in-class support from highly knowledgeable Apple Specialists.
Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People Deirdre O’Brien said, “We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with our Korean customers with the opening of this special store in Myeongdong. Our incredible retail team is ready to welcome the local community, and we invite everyone to find endless inspiration as they explore Apple’s innovative products and services.”
Apple Myeongdong will become a stage for both new and established Korean artists, who will lead Today at Apple sessions celebrating modern-day Korean culture.
Once inside, customers can check out Apple’s latest gadgets and services on the tables and avenues, including Apple TV+, which recently launched in Korea.
Apple has been operating in South Korea for over 20 years now, and the company’s ongoing innovation and investments generate hundreds of thousands of jobs across the country.
Apple Myeongdong opens April 9, Saturday at 10am local time. As health and safety protocols of customers and team members are Apple’s top priority, the store will implement comprehensive health measures, and so visits to Apple Myeongdong on opening day will be by appointment only.
