Easy Ways to Transfer Pictures from Your PC to iPhone

Although picture transfers generally move from your iPhone to your computer there are occasions when you want it to go the other way. It could be that you have some old pictures you want to have at your fingertips and so the easiest way to do that is to have the pictures on your iPhone. Possibly, you want to show your client some images so it makes sense to have them on your phone. Either way, you can click here and see how to transfer pictures to your iPhone from your PC or carry on reading.

Transfer Pictures to Your iPhone from Your PC – The iTunes Method.

This is a very good method for transferring pictures and syncing them between your PC and iPhone. So let’s get to it.

  • Plug your iPhone into your PC.
  • iTunes should open. If it doesn’t, open it manually.
  • In the upper left of the screen is an iPhone icon. Click it.
  • Click Photos from the sidebar.
  • Check Sync Photos
  • Click the ‘From’ dropdown and choose Pictures or Choose Folder.
  • You can now choose to sync everything or the selected folders.
  • Click Apply to make the magic happen.

There is a downside to this method in that it overwrites the library on your iPhone. If you plan to sync all your pictures to your iPhone this won’t be a problem. If you only want a few pictures to transfer to your iPhone this may be an issue.

Before taking the above steps decide if you want your whole library to sync or just chosen images.

Transferring Photos from Your iPhone to a PC Using iCloud

If you don’t want to use iTunes you can use iCloud even if you have a PC. Here’s how to do it:

  • Download, install, and open iCloud for Windows.
  • Log in using your iCloud username and password.
  • Check Photos and click Apply.
  • Open a File Explorer window.
  • Favorites, iCloud Photos you’ll find this on the left sidebar.
  • Any photos you want on your iPhone, copy them to the uploads folder.

The pictures you choose to upload will appear in the Pictures app of your phone. If you can’t see them or at least see them downloading, it could be that iCloud syncing is switched off. To switch it on, go Settings, [your name],iCloud, Photos.

Transferring Pictures to your iPhone from a Mac
