Pokémon GO Fest 2022 has been announced, and it will be a two-day global event.
This time, there will also be in-person events in Germany, Japan and the US during the summer.
A press release shared by Niantic says Pokémon GO Fest 2022 will be a two-day global event scheduled on a weekend, June 4 and 5. Also, a bonus finale event will be held on August 27, Saturday.
Specific details regarding which Pokémon will be featured remains undisclosed.
Normally, Niantic waits a bit longer to start promoting the event. One pocket monster is sure to be featured though, and that is Unown.
Aside from these three Pokémon GO festivities, Niantic will hold in-person events again this summer. Below are the cities and dates:
July 1 to 3, 2022 – Berlin, Germany
July 22 to 24, 2022 – Seattle, WA, USA
August 5 to 7, 2022 – Sapporo, Japan
The last time Niantic hosted an in-person event was almost three years ago, with Pokémon GO Fest held in Dortmund, Chigado and Yokohama in 2019. This kind of event is very lucrative for the company and it’s also a great experience for trainers all over the world.
Last year, the global event made over $21 million in just two days. Data revealed that Trainers caught over 1.5 billion Pokémon, spun over 900 million PokéStops, completed more than 23 million raids, and walked over 125 million kilometers.
