American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) reports that consumer satisfaction for computers, appliances and pricey electronics such as TV’s are near an all-time high. And for the 7th year in a row, Apple is taking the #1 spot of the computer makers.
Dell, Acer and HP are on a shared 2nd place with 77 points (an increase of 3-4% since last year), compared to Apple’s 86 points on the 100-point scale.
The non-Mac makers seems to have recovered from their downturn caused by Windows Vista a few years ago.

It’s hard to believe that HP’s consumer satisfaction is on the same tier as Dell’s. It’s absolutely no surprise that Apple is way ahead, anytime there is a problem with an iPhone or iPad, they just replace it.
That amounts to a lot in-terms of satisfaction and Apple is able to replace units so easily because of the higher prices they offer for their products. Windows-based computers cost less because consumers demand it to. Therefore companies like HP, Toshiba, Acer cut costs by having ‘less than desired’ support.
I’m not surprised at all that Apple is again number one. However, I’m quite surprised that HP takes spot #2 – I had quite some customer service problems with various HP products and I would never again buy anything from this company.
Not surprised either that Apple is number one when it comes to consumer satisfaction. That still won’t make me buy their overpriced product though because I still like to save my money wherever I can.
The way they are growing, it seems that no one can even touch them till 2015. Great job Apple!!!
Well done Apple. I’m so happy that Apple is #1 spot of the computer makers because I’m Apple fans and I love their products especially iPhone.
Yes!! Apple is the best. Although out there many people are saying about the Galaxy S but I still prefer iPhone. Don’t know why, I just can’t live without it.
Apple always have focus in what it will be the best experience for the user regarles of the divice, before was the computer and now computer, iphones, ipods
This really comes as no surprise to me. I am however wondering how bad the IPhone 4 debacle affected this number.
