Nokia N900 – The Journey Starts Here (A Cool Video)

nokia_n900_maemoI’m not a Nokia fan, I haven’t liked many of their phones for several years, but their new N900 looks like an interesting piece of tech that I wouldn’t mind getting my greasy fingers all over. At least just to try out the Linux Maemo system it’s running.

The Journey Starts Here

Nokia (or their advertising agency, I assume) created a video I bet they hope will go viral, to build up some interest about the new Nokia N900 device. Along with the video follows this description:

The release of the N900 sees the culmination of months of testing, tweaking and hard work, all to ensure that you get the device you have been hoping for.

The project however, has only just begun…

It’s all of you out there – the developers, the fans, the consumers – who are going to dictate where the device goes and what it is capable of. Get thinking, be inventive, use your imagination and push the N900 to its limits. The work you do will make this device better – better than even we thought it could be. And that’s how it should be.

The video is not like any ordinary cell phone commercial, it’s interesting to watch, especially one particular character plays his (short) role very well. I won’t give away what’s happening in the video, but I suggest you watch it all the way through – it has an interesting ending…

  1. Do you think the Nokia will have Firefox Mobile installed?

I might not buy that phone. I’ll probably think of this video — where some weirdo turned into a phone. lol

    • I have no clue about Firefox, sorry 🙁 I think it’s called Fennech or something like that, isn’t it?

But as long as you can install some kind of Opera Mini browser on it, you should be fine. Hey, maybe the built-in browser in Linux Maemo is just fine?
