Windows Mobile 6.5: All The New Features

windows-mobile-6-5-screenshotMicrosoft Windows Mobile 6.5 didn’t exactly win any prizes when it was released last week, but it does have some visual changes and new features you can enjoy, while you wait for Windows Mobile 7 to be released sometime next – here’s a list:

  • Netflix Mobile Manager
  • Games: Suduko, Board Games, Texas Hold’em Poker, Kaglom, Solitaire Legends (Magmic), SimCity Metropolis and Spore Trial (Electronic Arts)

Mobile Internet

  • Adobe Flash Lite plug-in

Get Started

  • CD-less Out Of Box experience: shouldn’t be necessary to include a CD in the package

  • Clever screen lock where you can still access basic functions even though the phone is locked (Pro-version only)

  6. Wow! New features looking very promising, it will boost the sale of Windows mobile, personally I am not a big fan of Windows mobile but it is coming with more and more blogging features which attract my attention towards these phones.

    • Up until 6.5, I wouldn’t even consider getting a Windows Mobile device again. Well, not even with 6.5, not that Android is here. Before iPhone and Android, a WM 6.5 device could probably have been considered but I seriously doubt I would enjoy using it.

      Let’s see how Windows Mobile 7 will be.
