Friday Flick Find: Snow Leopard & Get A Mac Ad’s

mac_os_x_10_6_snow_leopard_headToday is the big day, August 28th, where Apple releases their new big cat: Snow Leopard.

We’re going to see Mac geeks all weekend creating countless of threads on Mac forums about this and that, how great Snow Leopard is, how much it sucks, how many installation problems they had, how easy installation went and so on. And then there’s the rest of us, living in Malta, not being able to get Snow Leopard at least until next week (hopefully, since nothing rarely arrives on time here in Malta).

For this Friday Flick Find I have not only selected a single video, but a whole bunch, actually. The first three ones are the newest “Get A Mac”-ads from Apple with the well-known (and often hated) “I’m a PC” and “I’m a Mac” characters.

[videos removed as they no longer exists]

And the last one is of course about Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. The video is from one of the Apple conferences where Snow Leopard was introduced.

  1. Good luck – hope your mail gets through okay and on time for a change!

I just switched to Mac about a month ago, which provided just enough time to get used to it before Snow Leapord came out so I can just wipe everything out and start fresh w/o it being too much of a hassle. Which is nice.

    • Yeah, you’re lucky. You got to get that 1 month of getting used to and messing it all up, before doing a clean install with Snow Leopard 🙂

I’m also considering doing a clean install, but on the other hand, my system is so “modified” with settings, apps. etc, that I’m not sure I want to do it. I could just do a clean install, the Mac way, so that the system is clean but it will import my old settings and applications. What I was hoping to do though, was a *completely clean* install, but that might be too much to ask from myself.
