Dan Brown, The Lost SymbolI didn’t really plan on it, but while I saw it at the shop I decided to pick it up anyway, The Lost Symbol from Dan Brown. I was going to wait till November when it’s released in my primary language but since one of my goals with this blog, techpatio.com, is to improve my English skills I thought it was better to buy the book in English.

I’m not going to read it just yet though, will let somebody else borrow it for a while first, so I can’t really comment on it until sometime in the future. I should point out though, it took me almost 3 years to finish Angels & Demons and I did it mostly because I wanted to finish it before the movie was released. Now. after having watched the movie. I was shocked, the movie really sucked. The Da Vinci Code movie was way better. Both books were great though.

Have you read The Lost Symbol yet or are you going to? Sound off in the comments below.

I’d also love to hear your take on the Angels & Demons book vs the movie, cast your vote in the poll:

I really enjoyed The Lost Symbol for some different reasons. I went to New York in summer last year (with husbby for 1 week) and really wanted to go to DC but didn’t have time. I can’t wait to go back to New York in Winter AND go to DC. Loved how the Lost Symbol gave me great mental images. Also love the Noetic Science and metaphysical overlay. The book just peaks your interest to delve further into these areas.

My favourite Dan Brown book is Deception point. This book would make an awesome movie – more like a Jack Higgins or Harold Robbins novel but faster!
