150,000 views for $100 ain’t bad. I’m sure every single one of the viewers heard “Yahoo” mentioned at least once during the video, and that’s what branding is all about, being present in the mind of customers so they think about you next time they need what you provide.
But let’s put marketing aside, I still think it’s a good move by Yahoo, even though their reasons are probably motivated by money in the end.
Take a look at Justine’s $100 Yahoo Kindness video below:
It is really worth the view indeed. Justine did very well. =) . What a unique way for Yahoo to spread the word about their service and system.
Indeed, Justine does make some cool videos 🙂
And she is cute and attractive! =) That’s a plus for this video. Right?
Yup, that’s part of the “… when you pick the right people to do the job for you”-sentence 🙂
Can’t agree anymore with that. I know that’s the real meaning of that sentence haha.
When I first read the title of this post, I thought it was going to be something similar to the ads you see GoogleAds posting from time to time about their $75-$100 free ads for signing up.
This is way different, but it still works!

🙂 the girl is pretty.. no wonder that the video went viral:D i think this is better than PPC or PPV :))
That chick is so hot. I’ve seen her stuff before.
I agree, that was super cool and definitely worth 100 bucks for yahoo. Justine received some good content for her youtube channel. 5 random people received an extra 20 dollars for Christmas and Yahoo received a branding value far in excess of the 100 bucks. Great marketing and everybody comes out a head. I say great and creative idea on Yahoo’s part.
Look, people are still talking about it ha ha 🙂
It’s a personality-driven tactic. I don’t care for the personality (hot blondes don’t do anything for me) so this doesn’t excite me much. I wonder how much Yahoo paid her to do the video. Those views probably aren’t as cheap as most people think.
