Why Your Business Needs SEO

The web is ever changing and if you’ve paid attention to the recent penalties rolled out by Google you’ll know that there are a lot of site owners finding themselves in hot water thanks to misuse of SEO.

All of this movement is controlled by a search engine algorithm that changes the ranking of your site according to technical specifications. Obviously, you don’t want to find yourself at the bottom of the rankings so if you want your business to survive its time to pay attention to SEO!

So, what is it that you offer? A product? A service? If, for example, your business aims to sell sandwiches, you’ll want to appear at the top of the page when someone types ‘sandwiches’ into a search engine – but how does the search engine know what you have to offer?

Search engine crawlers browse all of the pages on your site, sifting through all of its content, indexing each page and adding them to a large database. What the crawlers find determines where your site will appear in the search results. Search engine giants regularly change the stipulations required to rank highly in search terms, but there isn’t often a great deal of explanation, making it fairly difficult to keep up with. This is where SEO expert, like [tp lang=”en” only=”y”]Vroom SEO[/tp][tp not_in=”en”]Vroom SEO[/tp], come in handy, as professionals they conduct a great deal of research in order to make sure your website is up to scratch.

Recently, a number of sites have been penalised for using “black hat” SEO techniques that don’t fit in with the preferences stipulated by search engines. In the past, some SEO companies used these techniques to produce fast results, but these results don’t last and sites that use them are guaranteed to be penalised and pushed down the rankings.  These techniques include hiding unnatural links and loading pages with too many keywords. The key to getting your site to the top of search results is natural SEO.

Getting your SEO right is a key element of your business, and without it you’ll find making any profit extremely difficult. The right SEO company will increase your sales by converting leads into all-important customers and directing more traffic to your site.

  7. I agree with several points in the article. It seems to be a “Goooogle” world we now live in for most things that have to do with the internet, so for the time being we’re playing by their rules.

    • White has SEO is definitely easy. And ranking for low-traffic keyowrds as well. It’s a different story if you’re trying to rank up for a highly competitive keyword.

I agree that it’s easy, but you have to know keyword research, competitive research, and link building.

  18. SEO is somewhat confusing! I have been doing the right stuff, then see my site in the lower search results. It seems like one must continually be doing these techniques in order to remain on the top pages – if not, then your site will not rank as well. Plus, it seems like we all are on “thin ice” with Google – have to follow every step as they say, if not, we will sink!!

  19. S.E.O is a complicated subject that requires a lot of time and effort that most businesses are unable to afford. Finding a good seo company is not always easy however, i know many people who have wasted vast sums on seo companies who do not deliver on what they promise, so be careful when deciding!
