Looking forward to getting one of the latest hues Apple offers in their newest iPhone 13 models? With new color choices like Midnight, Starlight and Sierra Blue, there are some great looks. While the rumored Bronze and Orange didn’t make the cut, there are still some vibrant color options to choose from if you like to stand out from the crowd and want something more than a practical black phone.

Can’t decide on what color to get for your iPhone 13? We’ll also offer some clever ways to make the most of each color (like using clear phone cases) or help you dress up the neutral colors with a more showy iPhone 13 case or iPhone 13 Pro Max case.

Five colors are offered in Apple’s latest iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini and there is something for everybody. In the new color lineup, you will find:

  • Pink
  • Blue
  • Midnight
  • Starlight
  • Red

Midnight is essentially a black hue and Starlight is an aluminum white and silver combination. As with previous colors, Midnight and Starlight are the two most popular colors chosen in the iPhone 13. Their neutral tones go with a lot of other fashions and can be dressed up or down, making them appeal to a larger audience. However, the Pink, Blue and Red offer a pop of color for those who appreciate a more unique style.

The Pink is a light dusty rose-like pink that is a bit subtle. A slight change, the Red hue is a deeper shade and a tad darker than the last variation. And the Blue color appears to have stayed the same as the iPhone 12. However, if you were a fan of the Green or Purple tones of the iPhone 12, the iPhone 13’s current color lineup might disappoint. Sadly, they have dropped these two unique colors.

Colors aside, the iPhone 13 is very similar to the iPhone 12 with a few minor adjustments. The new iPhone 13 offers features like a double flat-edge design set in an aluminum frame. You will also find that both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini have a Ceramic Shield on the front face, offering better scratch protection. In addition, both these models are IP68 rated, offering water resistance, and have a redesigned camera layout including a notch for Face ID sensors.

If you choose to upgrade from the standard iPhone 13 or 13 Mini to the iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max, you have some different color choices. Here’s the iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max lineup:

  • Graphite
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Sierra Blue

Graphite is very much like Space Gray. Not too much of a difference there. However, the Sierra Blue is the new kid on the block and is the color showcased more often. According to Apple’s press release, Sierra Blue uses “multiple layers of nanometer-scale metallic ceramics.” These ceramics cover the surface to create a durable finish.

In terms of design, the iPhone 13 Pro models offer some extra advantages. They used an anti-abrasive and anti-corrosive surgical-grade stainless steel and a matte glass back that offers some texture. Some similarities it shares with the iPhone 12 are the Ceramic Shield, a smaller TrueDepth and Face ID sensor notch and stainless steel-rimmed rear cameras. Plus, the IP68 water-resistance rating, of course.

How to Show Off Your New iPhone 13 Colors

Pink, Red and Sierra Blue — what will you choose? Or more so, how will you show your new color off? If you chose the color because you love it, the last thing you want to do is cover it up with a phone case. Luckily, there are all kinds of protective phone cases out there that can secure your phone and showcase the color, too! Here are a few ways to show off your new iPhone 13.

Clear Cases

No doubt, one of the best ways to show off one of the unique colors is with a clear phone case. Check out Pela Case’s clear phone cases, made with sustainable, plant-based materials that are compostable, too. Mostly transparent all the way around, these clear phone cases feature a rigid back and impact-absorbent edges, softening the blow should you ever drop your new iPhone. Plus, they are offered in standard iPhone 13 models and Pro versions.

You can also choose different colored edges to match your iPhone color. Find colors like black, green and lavender, you can coordinate with the latest hues to create a more unique look. Have other Apple products? Shop online for companies with a wide range of other phone accessories, like Apple Watch bands and AirPods case covers that can match your new clear case’s edge.

Solid Cases

For the neutral colors, like Midnight, Starlight, Graphite, Gold and Silver, you can show it off with a transparent case or a solid, colored case that accentuates the tones. Create a two-tone look by choosing a colored case that coordinates with the metallics or has its own metallic touches. For example, for the Starlight iPhone 13, you could attach it to a sleek white wallet phone case with accents of silver. Or attach a silver card holder to your iPhone 13 phone case.

Phone Grips and Pops

Love the Graphite or Midnight color? Greys and blacks can be coordinated effortlessly. Simply attach it to a matching phone case and add a stylish accent of any color you like. Show off your new iPhone 13 color with a harmonizing phone grip or pop-up holder. Choose a Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max and protect it with a color that not only coordinates with the light blue hue but offers extra grip. This way, you won’t drop your brand new iPhone so easily while taking selfies or shooting video with its professional-grade camera.
