Apple has added new Sound Packs featuring top music artists to its GarageBand app.
Grammy Award-winning artists Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa are among the stars who are giving users free rein on their hit songs “Free Woman” and “Break My Heart” – to remix and experiment with sound using their iPads and iPhones.
GarageBand, Apple’s free music creation app, has been updated with all-new features including a Remix Sessions option as well as Sound Packs and Producer Packs from the world’s biggest music artists and producers of today. Instruments, beats, loops and Sound Packs can be utilized from these artists to create one’s own songs, remix other songs and basically have some fun.
Now, musicians can create their own songs with the help of some of today’s biggest music producers, via seven new downloadable Producer Packs available in GarageBand by Mark Lettieri, Boys Noize, Soulection, Oak Felder, Tom Misch, TRAKGIRL, and Take A Daytrip. Every Producer Pack is chock-full of hundreds of royalty-free beats, loops, drum kits, instruments, synth patches and samples that embody the vibe and sound of each producer.
Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing Bob Borchers said, “GarageBand continues to be a catalyst for music creation — making it easy for novices to get started and for seasoned pros to develop their ideas on the go. For this update, we’ve collaborated with an incredible group of artists and producers to give musicians an amazing collection of new sounds to play with, and we hope even more people will be inspired to tap into their creativity and start making music in GarageBand.”
