Simple Tips to Take Memorable Photos at Your Wedding Party

The wedding day is certainly one of the most important and happiest days in every couple’s life. People want to capture this day in photos, which will later come together to tell a story in their wedding album. Wedding photography differs from all the other types of photography as there are so many things to pay attention to. For example, you should make perfect shots of bride and groom portraits, couples expressing love to each other, family and friends, bridesmaids and best men as well as to capture many other details such as the wedding dress, the cake, the atmosphere and so on. So, in order to achieve all this, you should find a professional who will make all of this come true for you. You should choose carefully as there’s no repetition of this day! Besides the wedding photos, many people also opt for making a wedding video, but what they don’t know is that there are many advantages of shooting your wedding video with two cameras

1. Hire a professional

A requirement number one, without which you can’t have your wedding photos taken perfectly is hiring a professional. You can search online and ask for their portfolio to see previous work – that will help you decide whether that certain photographer is capable of turning your wishes into a reality. You can also ask around for a personal recommendation from your friends and family. A good photographer will usually have an assistant, they will test their equipment before the big day, they will also bring all kinds of necessary accessories which will make the photos even better and pre-plan certain moments to capture. What all the couples also want is their photographer to catch the firsts: the first kiss, the first dance, cutting the cake and so on as well as to shoot the reaction of their guests during the wedding.

2. Speak up your mind

Your photographer can’t know what you want unless you tell them. Make sure that you’re clear about your vision. Even if you can’t express that in words, go through some different wedding day photo albums to get some ideas and then use the photos to explain what you would like for your wedding. Of course, this is just to get you thinking – along the way you can comment on some things that you like and some things that you think are unnecessary and not your style. Sometimes that will require moving furniture around to make a better shot or doing a certain shot over and over again until you are completely satisfied with it. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to say if you don’t like a certain photo or simply the angle as your photographer will help you get the perfect one.

3. Consider using a photo booth

Hiring a wedding photo booth has recently become a trendy thing to do at ceremonies. It has become so popular as it is a fun activity, which all your guests, regardless of their age can use and create some awesome memories. When you hire a photo booth, you usually also hire some services, such as getting an album of all your guests’ photos. You can also ask for certain props as well as photo strips and you can rest sure that the photos are of top quality.

4. Think about the perfect places for your photos

When you book a venue for your big day, make sure that you visit it a few times just to get to know the location and find some perfect places to take a great shot at. For example, what can affect a great photo are windows as they offer plenty of possibilities to make interesting and unusual shots. Photographers usually use them for silhouettes or framing and as a source of natural light.

5. Take lighting into consideration

When talking about impeccable photos, we can’t make one without proper lighting. You can use great lighting to make a perfect portrait shoot or to capture certain details on your wedding dress or shoes, but you can also use darker lighting to make amazing shots. Darker lighting is used so that you can stand out in your beautiful white dress.

Great wedding photos are there to illustrate your big day in a still physical form and create some memories that you will be happy to reflect on when you look at those photos every time in the future.

  1. I love the part where you mentioned that weddings are usually one of the most important and happiest events in a couple’s life. Planning for my own special ceremony has been really stressful but I don’t mind doing it as long as everything goes smoothly on the day of the event. I also hope that we’ll be able to find a photographer who can capture the best memories that we won’t be able to repeat anymore.

  2. I went to a wedding recently. There was a photo booth with the couple’s name on it, decorated beautifully, and different props for the groom’s and bride’s side. My girlfriend loved it.
