I Luv’ CommentLuv – do you have it on your WordPress blog yet?

commentluv-wpAre you a blogger?

No! Then go become a blogger and return to this post once you get a blog going. Your future readers and blog commentators will love you for it!

Yes! Great, are you using WordPress as your blogging platform then?

No! Hmm, okay, I hope you’re happy with your current platform. If not, I strongly suggest you take a look at WordPress which is a free blogging platform that runs on pretty much any Linux (PHP) based webhosting server which comes as little as just a few dollars a month, or free if you decide to go with a WordPress.com blog (not recommended though, but you can start out with one and move to your own later on).

Yes, I’m a blogger and I use WordPress, tell me what’s up with this CommentLuv already!!!!

Sure, sure, just take it easy, m’kay? CommentLuv is only for happy people (it’s not called CommentHate, is it? No!). To get a better understanding of what the CommentLuv WordPress plugin is, check out what the developer is saying:

This plugin will visit the site of the comment author while they type their comment and retrieve a selection of their last blog posts, tweets or digg submissions which they can choose one from to include at the bottom of their comment when they click submit.

It has been found to increase comments and the community spirit for the thousands of blogs that have installed it. With a simple install you will immediately start to find new and interesting blog posts, tweets and diggs from your own blog and community.

I totally agree with every single bit of the above. I’m more than satisfied with the amount of comments I’m getting here on TechPatio.com – and in conjunction with TechPatio being a do follow blog, there’s really no reason not leaving a comment, whenever you have something on your mind or something to contribute with – or maybe just a question…

Another thing I love about CommentLuv, it makes me come around to other blogs much more often. Now, I’m usually subscribed to the RSS feeds of my regular commentators here on TechPatio, but I don’t check them multiple times a day. When I receive a new comment on any of my blog posts, I get an e-mail – instantly – with the comment, and that e-mail includes a CommentLuv link to the commentators last blog post. Right there and then I can see the title of the commentators last blog post and I can go read it immediately if I want to. I bet this happens to me at least a few times every day.

Here’s what you’re going to do now (assuming you passed the initial questions and you’re already a blogger on WordPress):

  1. Install CommentLuv on your blog.
  2. Leave a comment below 🙂 and include a link to your blog with CommentLuv (or leave a comment explaining why you don’t have CommentLuv and/or don’t want to either).
  3. Have a nice weekend!

One more thing. Hopefully next week I will be launching a new theme on my blog. It’s the Thesis theme, you might have heard about it? Very popular theme. Stay tuned!

  3. I really loved reading your blog. It was very well authored and easy to understand. Unlike additional blogs I have read which are really not that good. I also found your posts very interesting. In fact after reading, I had to go show it to my friend and he enjoyed it as well!
