I bet you didn’t think notebooks would ever look like this when you got your first laptop back in the 90’s, but Intel just showed a new concept they call Activedash which comes with four displays; A normal, big, display and three touch sensitive displays just above the keyboard.
The three touch screens works just like a single screen where the graphic adapter then splits the signal between three different display. They are meant for small applications that would be convenient to always have visible such as a RSS reader, calendar, image slide show etc.
If you want to move any of the applications up to the big screen, you can simply “swipe” them up there with your finger, like when you swipe between images on devices such as the iPhone.
There’s no news yet about when products based on the Activedash concept will be available but Intel will show us more about the concept at the next Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco.
Wow thats pretty wild looking, I hope Mac comes up with something like that and I don’t want it weighing in at 1900 lbs

Looks interesting, but would probably take a bit to get used to how to use it. What will they think of next?

Looks very cool! I can think of several little things I’d like to have in the small screens – this laptop would get me spoiled so I’d hate any other after I got used to it. 🙂

Great stuff! Looking forward to seeing which manufacturers pick this up.
