Browsing Speed Compared: iPhone 4 vs iPhone 3GS

by Klaus on July 7, 2010

in iPhone, Tech News

This is probably a no-brainer as the iPhone 4 really should have faster browsing speed compared to iPhone 3GS. Nevertheless, it’s nice to actually see the difference in a side-by-side video like the one below by Obama Pacman.

You could even use this as an excuse to go out and upgrade your 3GS to iPhone 4, if you browse a lot. Just tell your wife (if you’re a man – otherwise, tell your husband) that you’ll be able to finish browsing faster and help out in the kitchen sooner than before 🙂

MacRumors’s benchmark tests also concluded that the iPhone 4 processor was 31% faster than iPhone 3GS (but slower than iPad).

My wife?? Ouch, why assume your readers are all male?
I actually think browsing is rarely hindered by processing – I think here the problem is mostly with the connection.

Ok ok, I updated the sentence to make you happy, satisfied? 😉

I am impatiently waiting for my iphone 4 since my 3G…yes not even a 3GS is having issues. I was happy to have an excuse to upgrade. Going from 3G to the 4 speedwise is going to make me feel like I just jumped into the future. 🙂

Though I already have 3GS so my upgrade isn’t as big as yours, I’m also waiting impatiently 🙂 Latest rumor is that the next batch of countries will have iPhone 4 on July 28th, so I’m hoping!!

iPhone 4 will be faster because it has a faster CPU, and GPU so it can load pages faster.

Not running on AT&T also helps :P.

Klarer Sieger, aber andere Frage. Wo habt ihr denn die tolle Social-Bookmark Liste links im Menü her!?

It’s a WordPress plugin called “Cute Profiles”.
