New Zealand’s Best Web Hosting Options Online

The internet has changed the lives of so many people around the world, in so many ways too. It is considered as the most powerful human-made invention since it has done the impossible. The internet has connected many people from all over the world in ways that were just imagined back then. Now, so many people have access to this, and they can use it in many ways that can benefit them.

As this page tells us, information is now easily shared and accessible to millions. This makes investing online becoming the trend for the past decade. It seems that this is not stopping for a while.

The last place that people think about when referred to a tech-based society in New Zealand. All the foreigners associate this place with either Lord of the Rings, the Queen or cows. However, she has been investing more in the tech business since this is the future.

If you do not have anything remotely related to it as a venture in your country, then you can be considered as a backward sort of place. New Zealand might be on the top of the world’s most liveable and best place to visit for vacation, but information technology is already catching up.

Getting an Online Business Going

Now, if you want to build any kind of business, you would need to have a website. However, this would not be something that you can do easily. You would want to have a host that can help you host this website of yours online.

With this one, you have a lot of choices for hosting in NZ which you can find online. However, which one would work for you? There are a lot of companies these days that offer this kind of service, and most of them are international. Would it make a difference if you went with a local company?

This depends on what you need. Most of the larger website hosting platforms do support a worldwide service. If you want a simpler site, then you can easily have them on these international options. However, if you’re going to have a more dedicated server, then you might want to stick close to home.

There are many advantages to this, like being able to contact them easier than others. As they are in your area, they can focus on their local clientele. On the other hand, major companies have circumnavigated this concern by building better servers in their home country.

Choosing The Right One For You

There are generally four types of plans to choose from when it comes to this:

1. Shared

One of the most popular options, the shared server is one that we have already mentioned before. It involves using the server that the host has provided for you to use. This means that you would only have limited capacity when it comes to your content.

There are also some cases wherein you are under the jurisdiction of the site host. However, this is the most affordable option since this is free most of the time. This choice is great for those who are just starting or want to focus more on a smaller scale.

2. Dedicated

This is by far the most expensive option on this list. This service focuses more on building a website for those who are trying for worldwide coverage. If you are working in an international company, chances are you would have this as a part of your marketing and research.

This option is more complex because it can handle more information. You can create more ideas and reach more people if you have a dedicated website. However, you might need to prepare a lot for this one. Read more about these servers here: https://computer.howstuffworks.com/internet/basics/internet-infrastructure9.htm

3. Cloud

This is the newer but better version of the shared server. However, it is a product of advanced technology wherein you do not need a physical server anymore. The previous two options need to have a physical body before it can function. The cloud needs to have an internet connection for it to work. It is so much faster and more efficient, but it does suffer from inconsistencies due to its nature.

Several companies are now using the best cloud storages as their way to create their websites. It also provides more versatility since you do not need to have a physical server. This is also more secure compared to the previous options.

4. WordPress

This might already be well-known to most of you since this is one of the biggest hosting websites in the world. If you are going to register on their website, you can have the services provided before. However, it does need to be their own produced website before you can use their services.

WordPress also has tiers in which you can choose what you need and can afford at the same time. If you are interested in getting a WordPress account, it is still effective even if you are here in NZ.

  1. Well Written!

I think before you select a hosting company you need to check the following things:

    1. The load time they offer i.e speed of your website.
    2. Their Uptime, the ideal goal is 100% however it should at least 99.95%
    3. Security, you need to check if they offer you an SSL certificate.
    4. Most importantly their customer support services need to be quick and efficient.

The type of hosting that you select depends on you needs but you need to check for these four things.

    Cheers!
