I have nothing against the Chinese people or China for that matter – except for one little thing, that I tend to mock every now and then: The Great Firewall of China. Yeah, the one that makes a “tiananmen square protest” Google Image search look like this:
According to news agency Xinhua, a hot line has been created for the Chinese citizens to dial in and report illegal content. The first person that refers to a porn website gets a prize between 1,000 and 10,000 yan (around $160-$1,600).
More than 500 calls were made to the hot line within the first 24 hours.
China is with it’s 300 million Internet users, the country with most Internet users in the world.
If anybody knows someone within China, you could create a porn site and have him report it – then share the loot. I’ll settle for 10% for coming up with the idea 🙂
What an awesome idea to make money:) The only question is what actually happens if they catch somebody doing this. Might be a nightmare, lol. Anyway, with so much Internet users and proxies all over the place, there could be some sites that manage to slip through the great wall. That title is definitely attention grabbing

I wouldn’t want to be caught for “cheating the Chinese”, in China… I can only imagine what kind of prison you would end up in 🙂
Wow, your idea sounds ok at first, but what happens to the people when caught. You could suffer way more than the money you split. Nice try anyway.

I wonder how many Chinese are using Proxies to get around the “great Internet wall”. I don’t think this censorship will work for much longer, people are creative at finding ways to access things they want to see and read.

Porn sites have always been one of the profitable “industries”. Thankfully I’m not planning ever to be a part of it 😀
