Just a quick note to let you guys know that I finally managed to get an iPad, even though it’s not released in any of “my countries” yet. As you might know, I live and work in Malta, but being Danish, I sometimes visit Denmark to catch up with friends and family. Right now I’m on vacation in Denmark and I had the opportunity to take a road trip to Hamburg and purchase some iPads. I had to show up in person, since Apple just told Germany not to ship iPads out of the country.
If you’re from Denmark and you want to do a similar roadtrip, try to call ComSpot in Hamburg, they might still have some 32GB WiFi iPads left and most likely some 64GB too, but I think they’re too expensive. 3G models are sold out everywhere I asked.
My iPad is a 16GB WiFi model, exactly what I wanted, so I was lucky to get one of the last available ones. I bet all Mac stores in Germany will get a new shipments of iPad next week, since I just purchased one, but that’s typical my luck π
So far I must say that it’s pretty cool, considering it’s just a big iPod Touch – but the huge screen makes a big difference!! I’ll be posting more thoughts on it soon when I’ve had time to play around with it some more.
Stay tuned!
Amazing indeed!
I think you can gain a whole new experience with iPad, which is really attractive for all Apple fans.
Yes, definitely. I’m also looking very much forward to testing it out in as many things as possible.
But you don’t really have to be an Apple *fan* to enjoy or purchase an iPad π
I’m so envious! π I love looking at iPads on commercials, but haven’t tried one myself yet. Please keep us posted about how useful you find it.
I will be sure to post a review (long or short, we’ll see) when I have had a chance to test it out some more π
Count me among those who are going green with envy. π All I can do for now is watch the commercials and pray it becomes available in my country soon. I just heard about the iPed, it’s chinese cheaper counterpart, but that just won’t do. I want the real thing.
I finally got to see an iPad in person, and it’s kind of cool I must admit. I don’t see myself running out to get one, but it wouldn’t be the worse thing in the world to have.
I initially didn’t want one either, but all the hype got to me plus I was curious to try it out (being the gadget freak I am) and for a review on TechPatio as well π
Hellow, fellow iPad geek π I guess we can now have more common interests through our blogs and passion lol
Have fun searching and installing apps and games
Yes, iPad FTW π
Let me know if you have any great iPad apps/games worth trying. I like to try out apps/games that really take advantage of the big screen, compared to iPhone.
I wouldn’t mind getting one but I reckon it would have to wait until my iPad touch dies because until that happens I can’t see myself spending that sort of money.
Congratz, that is awesome.
I can’t wait to get one of those myself.
I can’t wait to get my iPad. I want to wait to the second gen comes out. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t wait?
