So a friend of mine runs a pizzeria in Ewing, NJ. It’s a fairly small business—he’s got 2 chefs, 5 delivery boys and himself to manage it all. They’re doing okay, but there’s a lot of competition around them, so they take whatever profit they can get. One day, he was supposed to deliver about 20 pizzas to a party. But the delivery man took the pizzas and was never to return again. That’s it. He simply stole the pizzas and ran away. For a small business, that is both a pretty big loss on sales, and on human resource. So I told my friend—if only you had a cell phone tracker to keep up with your employees, you would’ve been on top of things by now.
Why Track Employees?
If you run any kind of delivery business, you simply can’t send away your employees with a sales good and leave it be. It would mean you’re trusting them to be completely honest with you, which is a good sentiment to have as an employer, but unfortunately, it increases your business risk. Look what happened to my friend. Think about it—in a delivery based business, when your employees are outbound, you need a foolproof, systematic method to manage them. Otherwise, all you’re relying on is blind faith, which isn’t all that resourceful in business.
Which is why, it is so important for you to track mobile phones of your employees as a way to know where they are when they’re making the delivery… or they might as well take the goods and run with them and you would never to know a thing. Better to be safe than sorry!
What’s a Good Mobile Tracker?
The one that I’ve suggested to my friend is called XNSPY. So far, it’s been working great for him. It’s a actually a little more than a simple GPS tracker because you can do a lot with it. You can
- Know their current location. This much is expected of the app—but it’s also great because you’ll know exactly where your delivery people are when you dispatch a good. It’s also a brilliant way to keep track of them in real time.
- Know their travel route. It is quite possible that you’re spending way too much on gas and vehicle maintenance simply because your delivery person isn’t using the best routes. The app will help you plan your routes out before dispatching an order. You’ll save on fuel, and keep the customer happy with a quicker service. It’s all in the systematic preplanning.
- Know their location history. This ensures that your employees are not making little detours along the way for personal tasks or taking unwanted breaks. Because while theft is the worst case scenario, it is also possible that your employees are being dishonest in other ways. Detours for personal errands when delivering an order is one of them.
- Set safe/unsafe areas. This is great to ensure efficiency. If the driver goes to the wrong place, you’ll be alerted. You can correct them right away and save time. They’re also pretty handy for security. If your vehicle gets intercepted on the way, you’ll know exactly where to send help for your driver.
XNSPY has almost been like a second manager to my friend now. I don’t think he can imagine running his pizzeria without a cell tracker anymore.
Your Business Needs XNSPY
You can’t rely on your employee’s honesty all the time. Every company has good seeds and bad seeds. While you can’t control risk entirely, you can minimize it. Even so, a cell phone tracker is going to enhance your delivery business greatly, especially if you are a local company. This just goes to show that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollar installing a security or management system. All you need sometimes is a nice, helpful app. My friend downloaded XNSPY, and already his profits have started blooming. Maybe it’s your turn now.
