It’s now one year since I first launched TechPatio.com. June 22nd, 2009, was the date I published the first article on TechPatio.com. It was not my first article though, because I had another more personal blog back then, but I decided to start TechPatio and this was my first article: What would you do if your iPhone gets stolen or lost?
The top 5 most viewed articles on TechPatio.com, in the past one year, are:
- Google Street View – More Funny Pictures (Part 1 of 2)
- How To Fix “Logitech Control Center” (LCC) Support In Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
- Caroline Wozniacki Breasts
- Aperture 3 Performance Fix – Make Slow Aperture Run Faster
- Funny Pictures: Google Street View Launched In Denmark
It’s been a year with 584 published posts (including this one) and over 4,000 comments from readers. It’s also been a year where I’ve grown my Twitter followership to an amazing 16,000 followers, thanks to TweetAdder, as well as my Facebook page to 75 likes (only launched recently) with great help from the BloggerLuv community and 480 RSS subscribers.
But the guys who deserves the biggest thanks so far (except of course all you great readers 😉 ), are Yaro Starak and Gideon Shalwick who, with their amazing Become a Blogger membership program, managed to ignite my interest for blogging and teach me soooo many things about not only blogging, but also how to monetize, get readers, networking and so much more – so go check’em out, they’re not selling you any hot air, I can guarantee it!
Anyway, I’m hoping to keep going at this for many years to come, so don’t expect to see me fade away into nothing just yet.
Have a great weekend, everybody!
Congrats :), my blog is 10 months old so its getting close.
Thanks Brad. So, only two more months and you can celebrate one year as well 🙂
That’s fantastic progress in one year. I mean, 584 posts in one year? And I thought the 300 I had two years running was doing something. Congrats!
Well, Mitch, it’s probably easier to write a lot of posts when many of them are “relaying news” that I find interesting, so there’s no need for you to think that yours 300 in two years is little 🙂
Congrats and a very Happy Birthday indeed. I have been blogging for a little over a year and yet have to reach the 300 posts milestone. keep it up..
Thanks Francisco – and good to see you here again 🙂
Congrats, one year is a significant milestone for most bloggers but your progress in building up a steadfast community is impressive. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Paul. I’m satisfied with reaching this milestone as well, sometimes time just flies by and other times, it seems like it takes forever to get stuff done.
Happy birtyday to your blog.
one year is a significant milestone because many bloggers have given up before their blog’s first birthday is coming.
Thank you 🙂 Yes I’ve heard that too, many bloggers quit before reaching a year. I suppose it wasn’t what they expected or they didn’t make as much money as hoped for. For now, I’m satisfied though and I’ll keep rockin’ this bloggin’.
I wish you more visitors, more profit and of course more excellent content as expected 🙂
Happy Birthday to your blog and congratulations staying on top of your game!
