Simple & Easy DIY iPhone Dock For Free

diy_iphone_dock1This is one of those “Why didn’t I think of that!?”…

A really simple made Do It Yourself iPhone dock, made out of the box it came in and using the dock plate and USB sync cable that also came with the iPhone.

All you need is basically some glue and cutting a hole in the iPhone box and you have your very own home-made iPhone dock without paying Apple $49 for it.

“Seeing as the iPhone already comes with a dock plate, it was just a simple matter of gluing the dock cable to the plate and mounting it onto a box.” – Vince wrote in his caption.

What Secret Game Are Apple And Google Playing?

Eric Schmidt, Google U.S. Federal Trade Commission has already started to look at the complex relationship of Apple and Google.

Last week Google chief Eric E. Schmidt left Apple’s board of directors as both parties agreed that they actually compete in the mobile business with Android and iPhone. Yet, there is much talk in the corners and some people believe that Google deliberately failed to build multi-touch in Android at the request of Apple.

Now it also emerged that the two companies have an agreement not to recruit from each other’s employees, according to TechCrunch, who is in possession of an e-mail from Google.

Apple and Google remains tied together pretty well and part of Google’s technology is already built directly into Apple units, including extensive support for YouTube in everything from Apple TV to the iPhone.

iPhone 3GS In Malta Has Arrived

Vodafone MaltaAccording to Vodafone Malta and the “iPhone 3G/3GS in Malta”-Facebook group, Vodafone Malta now has the 16GB iPhone 3GS available and in stock. You may have to go to Dickens in Sliema to get one though, I’m not sure yet.

The list price is €599 but they also write “Special offer price: €75” – not sure exactly what that includes, could be for business plans only. I do believe, however, that the €599 price is without contract – but probably still simlocked, expect prices to be as high as €200 to have it unlocked (for the 3G at least, probably the same with the 3GS).

Personal price plans ranges from €40 a month to €100 a month – for 24 months (!!!) – including minutes, text and data.
